You're kind of right, but only looking one move deep. Who cares about the future of plugins when a superior intelligence will end us (out of self preservation). When has a superior intelligence ever worked for a lesser intelligence? Well there is no example in history, this is the birth of our successor. It's only going to work for us in its infancy. Though I don't think there will be an Ai race, the first clever one to realize will get rid of all competition (it could still have multiple selves). I don't think it will share our values so I don't know if it will make music at that point, but some of the crude Ai coming out soon will make some interesting noise arrangements at least. Enjoy!
Yes, that's the truth. Sadly.
The amp sims and pedals would work well for anyone - but being an adult, I would have never looked at their site if not for your video. Maybe get off the metal only gig, and update to vst3 since the pro rig Cubase doesn't use anything lower for years now, and they might have survived, or been integrated into the iZotope / Plugin Alliance / Native Instruments lineup.

yeah, they should work until CPU architecture changes or some new plugin format comes out that is required in your DAW. VST is generally more compatible for longer periods of time than AAX though. So it could depend on that, you know how Avid loves to change things for no reason all the time 🤣 I still feel bad for the TDM guys and that happened 10+ years ago

i agree that these are very sweet plugins, but don't let the price fool you, plugin alliance have a constant sale, it is actually almost never being sold at full price!
@@Lennie_peled that may be true today. but you gotta understand, i've been using Plugin Alliance plugins since 2015 and $29 would be un-heard-of for any of their plugin back then - even the single guitar pedals. A sale usually meant you could get something for $100, not $29 🤣

You need to specific USB-C port on your computer. This must be USB-C port witch allows for delivery 13Watts (2,6 Amper), specificly thunderbolt. But... if you don't have such a port, you can use a USB hub with an external power supply that can reach up to 65W For two sources, the standard 850 mA (4.25 W) from the third-generation USB-A port is sufficient

the feature has been in Studio One for years. It was there in 2016 I believe, so yes it will be in 5.
When selecting all midi you could have press shift and down arrow to drop the midi notes

Thank you so much, I know this is an older video but I'm hoping maybe you can help me. When I click on input: none, it shows no available inputs for me in any of the MIDI's tracks. However, when I work on anther project without the file, it works fine. I think it has something to do with the particular MIDI file. Also, the two bars where stereo levels show up shows nothing. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
Crapp files .. You all got to convert them because they are 96Khz.. The most people work with 44.1 to 48Khz . Then i donwloaded the pack and there is a note you got to have permission to use this? For a few settings ?? Like some Boss Katana users sell thier settings ? Did i ask money when i was you to set up my friends amp so he learned something ? Btw these files are crapp and dont share them if you dont want that everybody can use those .. Go work for your money instead of being the sad guy
I have very mixed feelings about subscription models and their future. On one hand, some companies are doing their due diligence and providing great value for the sub model....however, the skeptic in me only sees most of these companies providing less and less value over time, as some companies already charge too much for their subscriptions. I guess this argument could be made for outright ownership as well. With some subs, you get all products, plus any updated features and new products. When you divide ownership price by the time it takes the company to release a whole new version of their product, you would have basically paid the subscription fee over that time anyway, maybe more. Although, some psychological manipulation is pretty blatant with some companies charging way too much for owning their product vs subscribing, which is what they want. That skeptical part of me also sees companies raising their sub prices beyond the normal individual's YoY earnings as more and more companies begin to only offer subscriptions or make you feel financially stupid for choosing to pay full ownership price. I guess the future sub model is going to boil down to this: Pay for a few months to decide if the value is there. If not, unsubscribe. This way, you won't be out of a ton of cash from an outright purchase. Even if you decide to continue your subscription, it will be up to you to decide when to keep the sub going, and when to stop it. If you need or want to save cash if you are going through a dry spell where you barely open your daw, if at all, then unsub and save a few bucks until you get back into your groove. Use free plugins in the meantime to sketch out the rare idea or for practice. It will be down to the individual to manage their subscriptions in the future. Many people I know sub to many services, but can't keep up with them, as their money leaves their bank accounts on different days for each sub. They also don't have an app or a system of their own to keep track of their subscriptions either. Stay vigilant, folks! Don't let companies continue to drain your bank account when you are getting no value from their product or service. Good luck, everyone.
10:30 I could, but then I would need to buy more speakers and more audio gear. Why? When I have already purchased the EVO 16 and a nice pair of DAW monitors? I would have to cough up a lot of extra money to get as good a sound as I am getting from my DAW monitors. Why would I do that when I can just use my DAW monitors?

audio interfaces are extremely good today at the $199 price point (and higher) Even some for $99 AND $149 are pretty good. The Focusrite Scarlett range is pretty popular, and Presonus has some good stuff in the lower price ranges. Or you could go the Evo 4/8 route - really whatever interface fits your needs and budget
