Narrated by Marcus Brinkman. Studied with both of them and there are many videos here under their names. Worth looking into. Also, look for the book, Blurred Boundaries, by the son of Hong YiXiang, who taught both Marcus and Luo. Excellent book about the history of that lineage, and about every day life in Taiwan in the 50’s and 60’s.

I was privileged to train with Sifu back in the '90s. What i admired most about his teaching was that he took time out to approach each student individually to explain certain parts of the training that he thought you were having difficulty with. He would then demonstrate until you fully understood what he was showing you, followed by real positive encouragement to persist in your endeavours. Top man. 🙏

to be honest the video doesn't do him justice, I went to San Francisco to study Xing Yi, but when I told him I studied Tai Chi he insisted on teaching me Tai Chi only and was glad to. You can't understand real kung fu unless u study w/ such a master feeling his strength and power.

I came here because a comment in another video indicated that this is what was taught to Yang LuChan, not what is currently practiced in Chen Village. Is there any truth to this assertion?
@Livingtree329 ай бұрын
Yang Luchan was taught Chen style small frame. It’s the same thing as Zhaobao Taijiquan. In Chen village nowadays, there are still (and again) people who practice the original small frame, but the big frame is what the big commercial schools there teach and what you usually see presented as Chen Taijiquan (Chen Xiaowang and so on). But the big frame is a change in the original method.
