I have two of these wagons one in BR Bauxite and one in Railfreight Red and Grey both excellently weathered by Rails. Great vehicles and I would highly recommend the weathered versions.
The Rapido ones I believe the doors opened
Received mine from RoS and went to my club to run it in on the test track. Everyone commented how smoothly it ran. after the running in process two coaches were added and it runs so well even slowly (analogue) As with the video with the Dapol 2 car B set it looks fantastic, now glad I put down a deposit to reserve one for when they arrived, Well done Sonic models and RoS for shipping out so fast on their arrival with you, so thanks for your usual great service! Paul
No idea why it's taken me a year to find this video but I love the bridge shown at 3 minutes in. Is it scratch built or kit bashed/built.
I received mine a few days ago and ran it in yesterday. I'm absolutely thrilled with the quality of build and running - no wobble! And excellent slow speed running. I've been waiting for years for a manufacturer to make these again. The Farish and Dapol models are now long in the tooth and the few I managed to pick up don't run very well at all. Congratulations Rails of Sheffield for bringing this range to market.
I've already got a GWR Large Prairie Tank Engine from ebay. I'm nervous about operating the N Gauge engines and rolling stock I've collected. I have a controller and track set up. I'm new to the tiddly-fiddly N Gauge world of railway modelling. Can you offer any tips I need to know or take in?
Stunning model this will be on my to get list. And it's great to here jack back on KZread and great to see him with rails of Sheffield. Peter
Whoa I didn't realize just how small yet detailed it was until I saw you unbox it!
It really is detailed, I got mine recently and it's fantastic.
On the Southern Regionis was often made to haul loads that were too heavy for tgemto keep to time.
Nice to see 5164 represented. I worked on the original restoration at Bewdley from 1973 to 1979 alongside my father.
'Silver'-painted bogies are used on U.S. locos, as cracks in sideframes show up better . . .
If it's possible for you to visit, their shop, I recommend that you do. It's as near to nirvana as you'll get in this business . . .
The prototype was so unreliable that it was known as 'The Wonder Loco', as in 'I wonder if it is going to work today?'
Oh, so they were on the Southern then. Becomes very relevant to me suddenly
Not really 'they', it was a one-off prototype but yes, it was seen on the Southern Region.
These diesels certainly had an Alco look to them.
That because they were influenced by American practices
5197 ordered. I drove it on a driver experience many years ago at CVR which led to my volunteering on that railway and becoming a signalman in Consall 'box.
hi, great video, will order one of these soon, they look cute, the price is reasonable
That’s nice, looks like a Triang Dock Shunter mated with a Class 20.
Heavy! Those formations are quality. Whoever did those images did a great job.
Cl44 peak please.
As of June 6th 2024, 701 is currently under restoration at the Churnet Valley Railway and will become the 3rd resident S160 on that railway. The hope is to see 701 in steam by the end of the year. She will return in LMR Blue
I’ve preordered 5197 & 701.. can’t wait
701 is missing the headlight.
What happened to Gordon from the LMR.
Wrong class
A brilliant locomotive.
I suspect the price for DCC Sound will be upwards of £350?
Great stuff Jack, Rails of Sheffield, and of course Rapido! I look forward to more news of these locos and the eventual arrival of my own S160. 💖
I would love to have som
Would like to see some more classic EMUs, like the 308 or even the 507/508 for third rail.
I am looking forward to the Mk2's and the 153 in O gauge. I have many fond memories of these. Could we have a Rails special O gauge Class 92 in the future please? I am a newcomer into O gauge and I am getting excited!
Would so like to see a sound fitted version.
Is there a sound fitted version?
wow! That is fantastic! It must have been so unusual then sounding like a jet aircraft must have been very futuristic for it's time! I want one!
Lovely Loco and with good Sound !!
The Great Northern Railway (GNR) Small Boiler Class C1 'Henry Oakley' 4-4-2 as preserved in York railway museum
Did BR ever paint their Mk.2 coaches in maroon, I'm not sure, but if they did, I'd like some in that livery please.
Dapol are doing a rerun of their TPE Class 68 which I have on order, so you have to get your matching coaches out to suit please.
Some quality products there! Thanks Accurascale and Rails for this video! As for future projects my vote goes to a class 442 wessex electrics (and my dream scenario is you'd have end units available individually or 2/3 car options also being available to make it more affordable and possible to run on smaller layouts!) Keep up the excellent work!
I would like to see a 325 Royal Mail train.
Yes to another run of the TPE Mk5. How about a 185 for the next exclusive?
Scotrail 385 please..... don't make me become the boss of Accurascale in order to make it happen like what I had to do with Hornby kzread.info/dash/bejne/opONuqR_ZanYYqQ.html
Yes a run of the mark 5 coaches would be great. I think the 70s and 80s scene defo needs a RTR HTO and HTV coal hopper wagon variant, hitherto only available as a kit.
A GWR Collett bogie passenger full brake to follow up the Siphon G would be a great addition to the range. It's not available in any other RTR range and would assist complement the Manor too.
A rerun of the Mk5 coaches would be great. For ideas of new exclusive locomotives, the GWR The Great Bear 4-6-2 comes to mind. For something smaller, the Duke of Sutherland’s 0-4-4T Dunrobin would be nice. It’ll fit different eras including preservation. With the same tooling you might be able to do the Highland Railway W Class 0-4-4T which were near identical from my understanding. The HR ones would fit different eras and complement other brands’ products potentially increasing sales.
Prototype Deltic
I'd love to see DP2 done to Accurascale standard👌
Yes, I would buy mk5a TPE.
They are arriving in June 2024??
Another run of the trans Pennine MK5's would be a good re-run. I have one of the 68's in that livery I missed out on those coaches
