    I've used them on multiple game over the last couple of years with no issues. When you guy 100gr heads, they are 100gr heads regardless of the size. Heads all weigh consistently - very little deviation.

    I'm surprised you trust half outs for hunting. The front end of the arrow is very prone to failure if unsupported if you hit bone. I'm using the Snyder core system by iron will. It's about five times stronger than using a half out.

    In more than 50 years of bow hunting I have always used two blade fixed with a few having bleeders but several months ago I tried the 1.5 Sevr on pigs. Most were in the 150# or less class. When hit just behind the shoulder shield plate they would mostly give me a pass thru. Now here’s the deal. I only draw 61-62 #’s at 28”. Arrows are Black Eagle Carnivore at 462 grains. I have hit the plate and still get through it and into the far side and a few the broadhead was protruding out the far side. Blood trails weren’t necessarily any better than my fixed blade hits. The part I like is I can use either the Sevr or fixed blade heads without doing anything to my setup. I only test flight to 60 yards and these Sevr heads hit right with the other. I am surely going to use a Sevr 1.5” on a couple of does at least this fall. And hopefully a coyote or bobcat.

    Using the Sevr 2", 100 grain with a Tenpoint Turbo S1. This is by far the best mechanical out there. Took one 10 point buck, and two does using them. All three deer didn't go more than 60 years and dropped. The buck and one doe were taken with the same broadhead. Unfortunately it hit a rock when exiting on the doe and messed up one blade. But they have replacement blades. Since then, the 4 other guys I hunt with have all now bought the Sevr 2". Best mechanical broadhead on the market.

    How would you say this bow compares to the 34? I'm a saddle hunter for whitetail mainly, love the feel of the 34 but haven't had the chance to try the 30 yet. I notice when I max out draw lengths, I typically notice more of a dump into the valley, have you noticed that with the 30? Love the video man!

  • @s.g.holmes
    @s.g.holmes6 ай бұрын

    Compared to the 34, the 30 is a very different bow - new riser, pic rail, cable guard, etc. However, the "carbon feel" of the 34 is still there as the grip is unchanged, but would say the 30 riser feel stiffer...perhaps with it being shorter and a new design. For saddle hunting, I would imagine the 30 being at home in that scenario. My DL is 29 so I can't speak to maxing the cam out. If you feel it gets dumpy, I would recommend playing with the letoffs - 80% on that cam smoothens it up in my experience (have your pro shop adjust that while testing it). Thanks for checking out the channel!
