I have the craftsman version of these as they were all clearance at sears. I like that you can get the big 36" at walmart for the cheapest and tekton seems to be the most expensive. Wilde did right by rebranding to everyone as you get more price and color options for the same tool

Harbor freight haters aka snap on nerds are made up of tool snobs that owe their souls to a tool truck and try to justify it to themselves by making fun of people who buy icon.

i can honestly afford SNAP ON tools without taking out a loan!! but, that being said dont buy much snap on,a few ratchets, screwdrivers ,pliers!! i love many different brands,Capri,Tekton,Olsa, williams,Tone,Koken, etc!! I also buy lots of Icon and other tools atHF that i love!!!! i always tell the good and bad about every brand!!! thank you for joining in and sharing your opinion!!

That's my problem with HF, a lot of the products are too low quality unless you step up to the Quinn or Icon brand. When you do step up to those brands, the prices become on par with others like Husky, Capri, Sunex, or Olsa (at least online). Why would I get HF and take a 50% chance of a tool being garbage when I could spend a little more or the same on a better tool?!

Agree completely on the Pittsburg breaker bar. I''ve put it through so much abuse and it's just as usable as the day I bought it. Definietly worth the 20 or so bucks.

I'm a huge fan of Harbor Freight. I love going into a store and actually putting my hands on the tool. Online is OK but still not the same as seeing it right in front of you. Jeff, keep up the good work. I'm enjoying your collection and insight. Thx.

My 3\8 matco head stripped after about a year of daily use. But I got there supposed new updated head and havent had a problem since mines a "16 locking flex green n black baby. Great video. If you have a good matco dealer id recommend it. In my experience it needs maintenance more often but is worth it because of how it operates. Great video again. Your tool collection blows my mind with quality, quantity and diverse brands!!

Got all the one-time use tools. I've found that some of the central pneumatic tools hold up better when used with a good air tool oil. Using the HF air tool oil seems to kill everything. Even the pneumatic nailers aren't awful as long as you don't use the HF consumables.

I can't go into harbor freight with a clear conscience, many years ago I lost a job in manufacturing that I really loved, making racks and baskets for the electroplating industry. Couldn't compete with the Chinese who were selling much poorer products at a much cheaper price. I have friends and family that have lost jobs due to offshoreing production too. Then I think of once great American brands like SK, Skil, and Milwaukee now in the hands of the Chinese, and wonder who is next. I don't think we have a lot of time left before our once great country turns into third world banana republic. We could turn it around by supporting domestic production, but Americans are too shortsighted to look beyond their own self interest. And that self interest is not enlightened.

Btw when it comes to the batteries, I buy the large packs of cheap ones for my strobe lights and other Halloween decorations. I need a ton of batteries for things that only need to run for the one night, and I'm not going to spend $75+ on batteries. I only buy energizer max for my flashlights.

Call me snobby...etc, but I basically will not touch any imported " hammer " with a 10' pole. I call them hammer shaped objects and as far as I'm concerned Harbor freight does not sell hammers. I had a cheap hammer chip on me and cut my cheek when I was a kid, and decided then that I'd never touch a crappy import ever again. If it's not American made ( or japan or europe ) I just won't touch it, for now there's still Vaughan & Bushnell and their Grayvik line, and so many vintage Hammers to be had. I have american made hammers from the 1880's, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's,80's,90's,00's all the way up to a number of Vaughan hammers bought new in the past few year's and one a couple months ago. Just because you can get a cheap " hammer " doesn't mean you can't afford to spend as much as $50 on a good real hammer, you don't actually need that many hammers ( I'm an enthusiast ) or to buy them all the time so the added cost isn't going to really hurt your wallet. People are free to disagree, but I've said it again Harbor freight ( and Home Depot now ) does not sell hammers. They sell hammer shaped objects.

Another good video, your 100% right on those wire brushes, those bristles always fly off. The Icon magnetics trays are worth the $10-$20 price tags over those pittsburgh ones.

I haven't bought much from HF but so far I've had no failures. There are certain things I tend to stay away from. Some of my better buys are a 12" x 36" wood lathe and a 17" floor standing drill press I bought there maybe close to 20 years ago or longer. I use the drill press quite often and other that a on/off switch they are still going great.

I never could bring myself to buy any of the HF drills. Now I'm glad I didn't. The only air tool I've bought is a middle priced paint gun. So far It's been great for what it is and it's capabilities. I did buy a compact wood router that the base was slightly off of 90 degrees from the shaft. Other than that it did what I needed and still works. I'm lucky enough to say I haven't had any failures as of yet. I have had some really good buys there in the past.
