    Brother I've been struggling with the passenger side on my 2014. I have all types of shit in the way I cannot get it in and keep banging the fucking starter

  • @TrackPackRT

    The passenger side is the difficult one. I know I had 2 different length deep sockets, a regular socket, and 3 different sized extensions to get in tight spots at different angles. One thing that could help is to consider grabbing a 1/4” drive ratchet and socket because they often are smaller and take up less space, which could give you access you can’t fit with a 3/8 drive. Keep going, it takes patience but you’ll get it done!

    13:13 I think you are right, despite some of the downer comments here. But I do understand the concern, considering the average car has 5000 parts and legacy auto makers are trying to make a transition to EV cars after watching TESLA successfully do it. IMHO, the Dodge LX platform and beyond was so popular there will be aftermarket and refurb parts coming for a long time. I have been collecting some parts for a while now, rubber door trim, panels, etc.. But you can't collect all of it, unless you buy a complete duplicate donor car, LOL. So long as machine shops, forging foundry's and auto manufacturing exists somewhere in the world, we will be OK. The additive manufacturing industry (3D printing) only helps going forward!

    That’s a very complicated question and it depends on what your plan is for the car what type of driving or racing you do, is it a daily driver? Is it a race car? • @TrackPackRT
    @TrackPackRT14 күн бұрын

    I had the diff whine before the bushings, but it did make it louder after install. To be honest though you only really notice at highway speeds. For what it’s worth I’d still do it the same way if I was going to do it again, the car just feels so solid and responsive with all the work I’ve done to the driveline, where before it felt kind of sloppy if that makes sense.

    Good video! I have thought about looking into springs for my 2019 R/T. It has the Super Track Pack, so I am not sure if springs will do anything besides lowering it. Cant wait to hear how you like the set up!

  • @TrackPackRT
    @TrackPackRT19 күн бұрын

    Thank you! Judging by what I can find it looks like the pro kit would lower your car about a half inch. They are still stiffer than the stock springs, but if you were wanting to go more aggressive there is always the sportline kit which is a track like ride and performance.

    Driving a '12 Grand Caravan 3.6 to commute and haul my band equipment around and it does pretty good. Pulls decent from a stop and hits like a Honda VTEC; at about 3500 rpm you can feel the push of the seat against your back and it will get about 22 mpg combined with a solid 29 mpg at 75 mph on the highway. Still runs smooth enough I catch myself checking to see if it stalled at stop lights with 173,000 miles on the clock. No complaints. I'm gonna drive it 'til the body falls off.

    With a cam you have to experiment around to get the RPM that is most efficient range for cruising because of the overlap. A bit faster might be higher MPG' I actually like Turbochargers for HP while retaining good MPG because cams (I love for the nasty sound) and superchargers have so much parasitic loss (takes 180 HP gain to show 100hp at the wheel) that they consume much more fuel.

    You work with what you have. The Pentastar is a versatile engine. Hell, I even have a Grand Caravan that has it! There are a few design annoyances that give it a bad rap. That damn plastic oil cooler was a total crap design. Fortunatly, you can replace it for an all aluminum cooler for $70. And while you already have the top end of the motor off, shit-can that very stupid plastic fuel rail for an aluminum one. After that, the 3.6L becomes a glorious v6 motor that serves the owner well. Great dialogue here and thanks for covering a great motor!
