Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video I make the 12 hr drive west to Vancouver so I can get in one last track day of the year at sea level and try for a new personal best to cap off 2022!

Congrats brother! Yeah, packed tracks make it hard to get multiple runs in. That’s one awesome friend you got there too! DA is a fickle thing. Lots that goes into it but at least you got a PB and 2 good runs in! Can’t wait to see what you’re gonna do next 😉

I’m not going to lie, it was making me nervous the later and later it got without getting to run. 😅 That’s a long drive, I wanted to make it count! Here’s to an excellent 2023 for both of us!

12.6! That is definitely a time to be proud of, well done! We are crawling out from blizzard like conditions over the Christmas weekend here in Southern Ontario. Those closer to lake Erie were hammered, so we are living vicariously through you, lol. Happy Holidays!, can't wait to see what's in store for the New Year.

Truthfully in Edmonton we just got through 2 solid weeks of -35 (-45 windchill) for 2 weeks. Just finally getting around to posting this last race weekend, dreaming of warmer days! Hope you guys weren't too buried, I heard you were looking at 18" of snow overnight, that's a lot anywhere. Cheers!

@@TrackPackRT Oh, I can understand that Edmonton is no picnic this time of year, lol, just glad you pulled in such a great time toward the end of the season. Locally, those closer to Lake Erie, like Fort Erie way were buried and some are still without power. Ours was bad, but could have been worse. Spring seems so far away, last year I bought some cool RC Challengers from Walmart, they may still have them, they are Go Green. I did a body off restoration on one, painting in black to resemble mine a bit which I race with a buddy of mine, he gets the stock green one, lol. Anything to pass the time until spring I suppose. Cheers, and thank you for the great videos and sharing of experience you provide. Hope you and yours have a great New Year's. Cheers, Adam.

What you'll find is that there isn't much of a difference in ET as the evening cools off. In fact, you'll often find that track times will get worse. The reason for this is as the temperature goes down, the humidity goes up. The increase in humidity was demonstrated by the closure of the track being caused by condensation on the track surface. That explains cars getting squirrely towards the end of the evening. Letting the fan run won't help that much as far as engine cooling is concerned. The reason for that is letting the fan run won't do much to cool the water in the block. The humidity probably affected performance more than engine temperature. The best I could do when my car was trapping at 110-112 mph at the track was about 12.40. I had the advantages of having an automatic and a 3400-stall torque converter. The automatic shifts faster than a human and the torque converter allowed me to have better 60-foot times. You can always add nitrous if you want to go much faster. A 75 shot at sea level or 100-shot at your home track could get you into the 11s.

Yes and no, it usually just depends on what the weather and what the wind is doing. Traction is always more difficult on a cool surface. The cooling fan actually works really well to cool me down pretty quickly, only downside is I get greedy and leave it on too long, "just a little cooler...." haha, almost bit me that time! I was already looking at some milwakee or dewalt cordless fans, as I already have a ton of batteries kicking around my place, might as well just get the fan and not worry about it. 60 foot times with the manual are definitely not as good as an auto that's for sure. That 1.9 I pulled was the best I've ever had, and that was around a 4k launch! Lots of autos will do better than that with worse gears and not even close to as much launch rpm. I love me some nitrous but I think I'll be going another route for my next big add on. Hope your season went well!

Thankfully it’s warmed up to -8*C. We just got through 2 weeks straight of -35. -8 feels like a summer day in comparison! Haha
