They have a shit ton of materials like titanium in china and other precious minerals that’s why they make these for cheap
You hit the nail on the head. This was a great video. I admittedly own more knives than I need. I suppose you could say I like knives, and when I see a new one that I think could be useful, I have a hard time stopping myself. That said, every single knife I buy, has a very particular purpose. I have outdoor knives, folding knives for self defense, an outdoor folder/self defense knife (in case I'm in a jurisdiction that prohibits open carrying fixed blades), I have large carbon steel fixed blades for hard outdoor use, I have stainless outdoor fixed blades, in case I'm in an area I know will be constantly wet or salty, I have machetes for outdoor use, machetes for lawn work, and machetes swords for home defense. I even have a smaller blade length folder, because my county limits the folding blade length in the park where my daughter plays. The bottom line, is that every knife should have a purpose. I'll never understand those people who own 50+ high end, super steel folding knives, which sit in a drawer. I have just one "super steel knife", which is the Cold Steel SRK in CPM-3V. I bought it, because the SK5 (1085) carbon steel version has a hollow grind, and hence a weak tip. The San Mai 3 version, and CPM-3V versions, have flat grinds, and strong tips. I'm pretty sure Cold Steel did that on purpose, to steer buyers towards the more expensive knives. I bought the CPM-3V version, because the San Mai 3 versions are prone to chipping. That knife cost me about $138+tax. It's the most expensive knife I own.

0:18 knife type ?
yes. I'm curious as to which model this is as well.
nevermind.. I found it Ganzo G7533-CF
If you are not willing to open up your knife to work on it, you may not be a person to own a knife lol
did any of your axis lock ganzos rattle in the closed position
Compared to other titanium s at this price , this the one to get for $66 on Amazon . There’s hardly any two suns for sale on Amazon because people been buying them like crazy
I just got this bad boi. I love it!!
SG will
Thanks, and LOL, bro that is not a solid piece of carbon fiber. Maybe a tiny thin sheet of it on top of some plastic or G10 at best. You can tell by how it is a different color except for the top sheet.
It is a budget pocket knife. Lol. I'm not surprised that they cut some corners to save production cost.
Hey do you wanna sell this knife ?
Would u pay $26 for it brand new?
thanks for the vid, just bought one!
You not doing videos anymore?
Would it kill you to cut a piece of rope on a video review of a rescue rope knife...lame
You forgot about that guy that says he has better pocket clips
@Josh F oh i understand but I’m talking about that one guy that does way to much on a pocket clips
funny intro..... thank you, will fix mine soon.
Thanks a lot!
Really good job! Thank you!
Encountered this a ton in the mechanical keyboard community. Loved my $240 Topre keyboard but I also love one of my $30 Chinese boards. Different strokes for different folks.
thanks- very nice, brief, to-the-point comparison of audio output. could you share more samples from outdoors, for instance for recording Folie?
I kept waiting for the magnum.
how are the knife law now in canada?
google it dude
Excellent video and a solid overview of the CRKT M21-04.
More and more knife snob channels keep popping up on my suggested list -- it's awful. Why the hell would I listen to some scrawny dude with a man-bun tell me that I need to spend $500 on a pocket knife? Other than avocado toast and check-filled letters from his parents, what the fuck is he cutting where he needs a carbon steel, convex-ground knife? If I need to survive in the wilderness for any length of time, chances are I'm not going to be reaching for a plastic-bodied, button-operated pocket knife.
CRKT needs to bring this model back in a frame lock with a better blade steel. At least D2 Steel or better. Thanks for the video my Bladed Brother ⚔️
I just leave my axis lock knives half open (in a safe location) for a few hours when i first get them. Loosens them right up. Great video though regardless 👍
I'm gonna try that!
Thanks for this idea. It worked!
Yeah, left mine half open for two days, smooth as butter now
Still safer than liner locks!
Wrap the spring around a finger size wooden dowel to help retain the shape and to avoid kinking it.
Great video. Thanks for this. My F7631-CF came with super smooth/loose action, but a super stiff g-lock. After watching your video I was able to adjust the lock (omega spring) so that I can close the knife a little easier with only my thumb, and then tightened the pivot screws a little tighter so that I can't "fling" it open without engaging the thumb stud or g-lock so that it can't open in my pocket. My springs are still just a little tighter than I'd like, but I think they might loosen up over time and I figure it's safer with the blade locked firmly.
Thank you for watching. I'm glade this video helped you. Cheers. Stay safe.
I loosen mine by playing with them for hours and hours.
Thanks for the upload and keep the great videos coming. I ordered the Twosun ts 83 I cant wait to get it. Great knives. Love them knives channel on KZread test all the Chinese steel and titanium and yes it's all real.
Have you got it yet?
@@michaelvoorhees5978 yes I have had it for 3 years
@@jasonclark8921 how is it?
@@michaelvoorhees5978 I love it titanium is great and the m 390 blade is very sharp
@@jasonclark8921 great thanks!!!!
I'll probably patina the blade so I dont have to worry about it, but I'll be buying one of these as soon as I find one. Thanks.
Great blade for the price. Enjoy!
Just a note, lowering the spring tension raises the risk of the lock disengaging. I find that if you remove the tooling chatter on the liners that the axis pin rides on the lock moves much smoother. Polishing the blade at the pivot, polishing the grooves the locks bar rides in is a much better way to get a smoother operation. also much safer way as well. The reason these knives are so cheap is because a lot of this finishing work is neglected that is most of the reason for poor operation.
It's all downward pressure the spring tension shouldn't have much effect. When is your knife going to have any real force on the spine anyway?
Got that very same one yesterday and the lock got my thumbs all messed up
Thanks for the tutorial. I love ganzo knifes and hopefully in a few days receive my first axis lock. I heard somewhere that opening the blade about half way and leaving it overnight or for a day like that also softens the lock. Have you tried that? It makes sense to me in theory, no idea if it works
D2 is not tough. Comparing to s110v maybe haha but in no way is d2 a tough steel. I'm not sure whoever started the d2 being tough thing but you've been lied to lol. Not saying it's a bad steel or anything bc it's not and Two Sun's ht is usually pretty good based on LTK's testing and my own.
Show your tests
I bought this knife, too. Even though I made a purchase in Japan, this is not so expensive as you said and quite nice. However, the sharpness of the edge is easy to lose as other You -Tuber reported and it should be better to resharpen it. Other problem is, the finish of the blade is not so well-balanced and my one is asymmetry. Therefore, I'm thinking that I should fix the blade by myself or not.
btw, I subbed ya, you need to start making videos again....you were doing fine...takes time to build a channel...
My 2 Ganzos came into the U.S. tight. Seems like most Ganzos come tight. Before you open them up for surgery, try loosening the pivot and putting oil on the axis/G-lock pin and where it makes contact with the blade. Also oil on a piece of paper slid between where the bearings meet the blade should smooth things up. Worse case, open and close the blade over and over again. If nothing else, that should strengthen your finger and wrist muscles.
Now how do we know its actuallqlly d2 , itp prob. Some cina steel with d2 etched on it.
It's been tested, LTK... google it
I have the same cheap set up. I do have other equipment too for different scenarios. For me put the boya into the zoom at input level 37-45. You will get less background noise, not perfect but ok. Should you not want to sync in post use the out put jack into your camera. Personally I would sync in post and put the audio through some simple editing. Audacity is great and takes 5 mins. Great video thanks.
i just ordered mine a few minutes ago on amazon for $56. excited
Good review..but pissed off 'bout that shopping mall elevator music . No music at all could be really appreciated to help concentrate on what's the more important, the knife itself.
Ebay 30$ love this blade
Too bad it got discontinued! I'm curious how such a featherweight styled large knife would perform.
Greater knife, I have several 😁
If your finger is hitting the auto lock that often just lube up the knife or adjust the pivot so it's not as tight. I have the M16-04 (same knife but with tanto and 4 way adjustable carry) and never have this problem. I'd say it's just a little too tight. Thanks for the review really enjoyed it.
I've had this knife for about ten years or so, and although I don't carry it on a daily basis, it's a part of my collection that I'd never part with. As a thought experiment, look at your knife collection and imagine if the shit hits the fan and you could only have one knife, which one would you choose? For me, it would be the M21 04.
This knife is awesome. Benchmade should bring it back.
