In 2009 whilst playing Texas hold em poker on Xbox live a woman from a different country entered the table and we started chatting. We fell in love and I flew to Canada to be with her and we made a baby who is now 14 years old. Our daughter is also a gamer and although we got divorced a few years ago something so magical happened and it’s all because of Xbox live ❤️

2:10 it's because your chart is showing "zoom all" instead of zoom 1 year to show the outliers. if zoomed out it will just display averages

Join the club Pete, I couldn't agree more. AAA gaming most certainly isn't AAA in 2024. Its all about visuals, sequels and no story telling, littered with a smattering of woke BS for the sake of box ticking. Its like EV cars being "the future" but having no soul compared to fuel powered cars. Its all about corporate greed today, not the gaming itself. Its like not being able to see the forest for the trees, the trees might be UE5 engined beautifulness, but its done because it can be not for the quality of the game.

Marvel vs capcom 2 may drop with this new release. I expect 30% drop. I am not racing to sell my copy. It depends on the quality of this new release and how long it is easily available as well as how long these current platforms are available. Is the newest version the best way to play?

Fuck no I would never buy sun faded boxes. I don't care about cardboard boxes. Only collext cib for systems with plastic game cases. I am not paying a premium to be the owner of old cardboard. Genesis games have the recycle logo on them. They were trash then and still are and people who pay premiums for old cardboard boxes are insane to me.

I feel the same way. I actually stopped gaming for the most part a couple years ago and found new hobbies. The last good modern game I can remember playing is RDR2. Every game coming out these days feels like it was just made to make money.

As far as sun damage goes, if the spine looks normal I'm ok with picking it up at around disc-only price or a little bit more than that. It would effectively look the same as any other mint game on the shelf as long as its displayed with the spine out.

MVC2 has already dropped by 25% on PS2. It was hitting $200 before the announcement and now it's under $150. I'm picking up one from marketplace with a memory card for $120 tomorrow.

For those homebrew roms, are they at least the official famicom versions, just modded internally to have english subs? Otherwise idk why anyone would pay 200+ for 6 reproduction games and repro boxes lol

There are sellers who have replaced the original rom chip on Japanese carts with "reflashed" roms that have the Engilsh translation. John Riggs has videos on how it's done.

I've pretty much reached a point in my video game collecting especially in my area that everybody is pretty much aware of what they have, so trying to find a deal is next to impossible so I'd just rather save my money to get something I really want for something that is sold at market value or relatively close to it. Price isn't really much of an obstacle for me if I want something bad enough - it's just working hard to save enough money for it.

When you buy and own Gameboy Color games do you have to switch out the battery eventually (maybe every 10 years?) to not risk battery leak damage to the internal cart itself? Need to know for my own collecting journey I’m about to start collecting GBC / GBA games

You will need to replace the battery in any cartridge that has one eventually. I still have some games on their original batteries (30+ years old) because the cartridge doesn't draw from them very often, but I at least open them up and check every year to make sure they aren't bulging, leaking, or giving off an acidic odor.

Spy Hunter NTR isn't janky. It's a cheese fest, but has good controls and combat and plays a bit like Splinter Cell. The driving only takes up a small part of the game, it's mostly 3rd person action.

The video game market is always fascinating to see, and I always have loved your insight into it. I do think a lot of the valuation is scammy and hard to pick out, especially graded games.

Hi Pete I always love your eBay videos, you've taught me a lot over the years. I'm curious though, do you spend much time on other marketplaces/platforms or are you mainly on eBay? There are lots of smaller online marketplaces, and local ones like facebook marketplace, and services like Buyee that have some good items on.

IHRA Drag Racing 2, Driven, Alfa Romero Racing Italiano, Maximo Ghosts to Glory, Robotech Battlecry, Transformers, Star Trek Encounters, Escape from Monkey Island, World Destruction League thunder tanks, WWE Crush Hour, Legends of Wrestleing, Sprint Cars road to knoxville.
