Boy I miss those 80s days where friday and saturday nights on Hollywood blvd and sunset blvd cruising my GSXR 1100 picking up girls and round and round having different chicks on the back of my bike going back and forth. I miss those days. Great video and posting. :)

That smog was no joke back then. Thanks for the flashback. Sounds like KROQ on the radio. Good times. P.S. Isn't it cool I can Shazam the first track (The Perfect Kiss by New Order) on my phone in 2023?

Miss the days when traffic was actually manageable here in Los Angeles and we actually had a "rush hour" twice a day in the morning and afternoon. Way too many damn people living here now. and it's just stop and go the entire day from 7am-7pm now.

'85 would have been a perfect time to stop in at the Sunset Grill for a double chili cheese on a Kaiser roll for about $2.65. Hollywood in the 70's and 80's was fun times. But, I bet it would have been even more fun in the 50's & 60's.

One reason why Simple Minds works so perfectly for the soundtrack of LA freeways is because their heavy use of stadium reverb. The sound perfectly echoes off the mountains and tall buildings, giving you a feeling of being in the center of everything.

The music made in 2022 absolutely_does_not match the visuals of Los Angeles like KROQ rock of the 80's did. Everything is cringe in 2022 and the only underground remaining is reserved for people devoid of tattoos.

Nice. Seems to be going northbound on the 110 to the 101 freeway then off on Hollywood blvd then turned left and stops at around Cahuenga. The Pep Boys at 07:46 is closing down as of yesterday what a shame. I feel like doing an updated drive on this to show how it looks today.

You passed right by my old apartment. On El Cerrito, a block north of Hollywood Blvd. Crazy days... from what I remember... and I can't remember much if you know what I mean haha. On weekend tje Blvd was a non-stop party. My roomie worked at The Seven Seas, a pretty notorious punk gathering spot on the Blvd. Don't know if it was still open in 85. Actually I think I moved to Pasadena in 84.

I really wonder why the 110 is partially interstate and partially California state
@brianb.82952 жыл бұрын
Because south of the 10 Freeway, the 110 is built to Interstate standards, with lanes and shoulders that are wider than average. The portion of the 110 north of the 10 is not built to Interstate standards, especially the Arroyo Seco Parkway section, thus the state route designation.

But then the traffic got so bad that there was no cruising, just parking with your motor running, LOL. Still, I'm so glad I got to experience it. It was a great time and so much fun.
