I'm no bodywork expert but using Bondo non- fiber/glassed finishing putty is not a hole filler. Should have welded or aluminum brazed the holes shut, grind, sand, filler, sand, prime, then glaze and prime again until perfect. There is no solid background for that bondo finish glaze. Yikes! With no backer, it's gonna fail, crack, pop and and look like dog 💩. Your gonna see pops in that wrap in a year is my guess due to expansion/contraction. All that hard work = Bummer😢

Great to watch all of you work together on that unit. I have a '97 with the fiberglass cab extension. I had it as one of our work trucks and it's since been retired from my home building and remodeling company as I start a new venture. I've decided to convert it into a "micro-mini luxury motorhome" using all of my skills in one project. Question for you, what awning did you decide to go with? Love watching these latest wrapping vids you're doing. Looks like good work. I have plans to also wrap soon but that's one process I've never done before. I'm looking forward to the challenge. Thank you for sharing.👍🏻👊🏻 Tell Papa Hi from Beaverton Oregon, USA. -Matt C.

Hi Matt, sounds like a great project!! We went with a rec pro manual awning (RP-AFRM) as it had numerous sizes to choose from and we found one that pretty much covers the whole passenger side or at least the whole box portion. We wanted something solid that had arms and would give us options for expanding our outside living space if needed. We already have a front screen that slides into the rail, we will be adding LED awning lights. Power operation would be nice but we didn’t feel that it was something we needed. Good luck with your build! Please send us pics as it progresses (on ig) and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions and thanks for following along. Jeff
