    Great video, you took the mystery out of what’s inside the box and provided all the how to. $43 later and a full disassembly & cleaning it’s up and running again. Thank you

    Great video! Thinking about purchasing one like this , would you recommend? Want something that is capable of remembering settings from previously day so if my pump kicks in next day , the heater will continue to heat the water to desired temperature from day before is that possible with this model ? Another words- don’t want to manually adjust temp every day ….thanks !

    My rollout switch blows constantly, even when the heater was first installed it lasted less than an hour. Today I replaced it, went to turn the power on and the heater won’t even power on. I checked the outlet, breaker, and power cord which are all fine. Have you ever had an issue with yours not powering on?

    There is a 5 Amp fuse on the board for the control, gotta open the front bottom panel with the knurled nut and there should be 2 bolts right under the lcd panel pull it down and out and check if that fuse is blown

    Dealing with the ROLLOUT SW OPEN error today on that same exact heater. I ordered the flame rollout switch replacement part two days ago. Now that I watched this video, I have way more confidence attacking cleaning the heat exchanger. Great video. Glad I found it. I will clean the heat exchanger before putting the new switch. I will clean the heat exchanger and then see if the new switch is needed, which i imagine it is due to the one time use from what I read unless I am misunderstanding?

    Unfortunately all 3 strings of my H D blind snapped at slightly different lengths. Will the sliding bottom mechanism allow access to all insertion points . Or will I have to remove the entire bottom cover to access string insertion ports?

    My utility bills more than double during the summer. Does your pool and/or heater significantly jack up your bills? And any recommendation on coil cleaner? I'm using coil cleaner for the furnace. Thanks

    Best video on this heater! Big thanks. I'm opening our above ground pool because I'm not paying for it to be done. The last 2 seasons, something was incorrectly or incompletely done and it's not cheap. Your step by step how to video is fantastic. I'm not done but so far so good. I have the same error code so I am now at the step of removing exchanger. The inside looks exactly like yours: debris, cobwebs, calcium buildup and rust. We just bought this thing 3 years ago and it already looks like hell. People who closed it did not winterize it, and put it in shed. Consequently, it's weathered. How do you winterize the heater? Clean it? Put it in shed in backyard? How to prevent the rust? Again, thanks for taking the time to make video. I'm in northern Ohio which has extreme temp changes during year. Let me get back to this task -- kids want to get in and don't want to hear my heat pump woes -- just get it done! lol

    Where do you buy your gravestones? I’ve looked all over the last couple years and can only find foam ones. Yours look like they’re resin or thick plastic, is that right?

  • @DoneWithDad

    All of them are from the Home Depot over the years. A decent resin that they weight at the bottom. I like them. Happy Halloween!

    What about the electrical plug? Did you leave that out in the grass when it rained?

  • @DoneWithDad
    @DoneWithDad9 ай бұрын

    Yes. Just on the grass. It’s plugged in snug to an exterior extension cord and my outdoor outlet is a gfci (the ones with the red and black buttons) if it does get wet. I haven’t had any issues. We are in the middle of another wet week in Chicago, but so far so good. Good luck!

    How well does it work on algae?

  • @DoneWithDad
    @DoneWithDad10 ай бұрын

    Not the best by itself, but if I scuff up the algae with my hand when I’m swimming with it it sucks it right up like any other debris. Saves me the step of having to brush, too. The brush on the vacuum is not the best for scrubbing.
