    6:50 I mean, the Founding Fathers of the United States believed that the citizens have the right to guns to protect themselves from the government. So the citing of a guy who talked about governments killing people isn’t too far off. It’s also reasonable to assume that those people most likely had no way to defend themselves, especially in countries like the Soviet Union and Mao’s China where private property rights were abolished. Also, I love how this video talks very little about the people’s right to self-defense can prevent a mass shooting or murder.

    Ah yes, the leftist woke powerhouse Disney, pumping "first gay character" (under 5 seconds, background, irrelevant, cut off for release in China/Russia) since gays were invented by Gabriel Gay in 1874 when he kissed his homie goodnight with twice the intent. Thank you CD, I couldn't tell because they are so sneaky.

    At about 32:20, you state that being a woman is not a disability. You are correct, technically. However, in the time period that Mulan is set. (Ming Dynasty? My Chinese history is not so good.) Hell, arguably even in modern China, being born a woman means you will face cultural challenges that limit your ability to thrive where being a man would make things easier. If only there was a term for that.

  • @gd995

    To say that movies have as little influence on culture as you appear to believe is just straight up incorrect. They have been used as tools by the state for decades to influence general opinion and culture. If only we had a word for that sort of film. Oh well.

    Isn’t there just too many on the front lines that have a job to count and have been doing it for some Time? Listen to Carlson; he had his own texts during J6. Showing what he was Saying from his cell phone. Picking up J6 and turning this into a false narrative is a wrong narrative. It’s 2024( May), read Liz Cheneys book. The timeline w references are right there. Also WHO SIAD ONE THING BUT DISNT WHEN a vote was taken.

    I enjoy some of the Drinker's videos and subscribed him once, but then I got tired of him as soon as he just keep on repeating the same content over and over again in his other vids, like how he makes tons of Snow White 2024 vids (one or two is enought, right?) And him blindly criticizing some movies without looking at the good side of them or try to understand them better, such as the Hobbit trilogy and Loki Season 1 really baffles me a lot. I know ROP receives a lot of criticisms but he literally gives no decent reasons on why he doesn't like Season 2 trailer except repeating what is bad in Season 1. I also notice in order to maintain his critism of the wokr Hollywood. The Drinker often deliberately avoid giving comments on films or shows that are really done well objectively because they are produced from the same studio he's roasting. You see him saying a lot of things about Loki S1, but then never does he talk about anything about Loki S2. That is extremely unfair to anyone who shows dedication and commitment on creating a visual product for the mass public.

    I still like the theory that this was actually a prequel to Breaking Bad and Brian Cranston's character went crazy during the years between the shows, changed his identity, abandoned this family and started a new one (leading up to the events of BB and BCS). Obviously it doesnt fit perfectly but still a pretty fun fan theory

    If this show had started out on HBO ...it would have taken a year to catch on and enjoyed more artistic freedom. Netflix gave it exposure with the original seasons, but also screwed it with additional seasons as everyone had moved on, including writers and the Russo brothers. If a HBO premiere, it would have grown and stayed around , grown maybe 5-6 seasons. But the original show is one most of us found too late. Great creators and cast, then poof!

    I disagree with you a bit on Mulan as an assigned-female non-binary leftist feminist, I do think the "Be A Man" montage does show that her body makes it harder for her. And I liked that. I think part of the point is that she is so determined she works harder - against, as you said, obstacles including bullying- and that is part of what makes her end up stronger, smarter, and faster even if she may also have some physical advantages too, like being slimmer probably helped with things like being faster and climbing the pole.

  • @petermj1098
    @petermj1098Күн бұрын

    The entire point of the sequence is that Mulan almost gives up fighting for her father and country cause of training but she learns to adapt and keep despite her physical disadvantage as a woman. The entire point is that she maintains her persistence.

    There are very few shows that made me laugh so hard that I had tears streaming down my face (I love comedy, but I almost never laugh out loud at them). The Office, The Simpsons & Arrested Development are the three that I can immediately think of that could actually make my stomach hurt. It was usually just a one-off, ridiculous joke that just hit me the right way on a certain day, but since I don’t laugh that often, I really appreciate the times I do.
