During covid it was still next to impossible to get appointments at emergency vets. A friend of mine had to wait hours to get in with her dog that we believed was on death’s doorstep. They just didn’t have the resources then to help everyone immediately. I really don’t get what point they were trying to make.

I'm with Hila. I had a cat (over 10+years) and she declined rapidly over 3 days. You wouldn't even know it's the same cat. If the situation was so dire, honestly idk what I would do. But jacob taking the cat IS sketchy. It seems played out. He wants Reagan's fame, and he'll never get it

Seriously? So now we’re really trying to normalize stealing people’s pets because we think they could be neglecting them without knowing whether they had been taking them to the vet and medicating them or if the cat had finished their water during the move and the bowl was going to be refilled as soon as it was in the new room? Even if those aren’t the case if you’re only assuming you need to go through the proper channels of reporting abuse. That is what needs to be normalized. If that had been done no one would be questioning his intentions whatsoever and definitively there would be both repercussions and proof that validates she did in fact abuse this animal to death (which was the insinuation of the original statement made on the podcast) Clearly if there was enough time in his mind to wait 3 days for the vet visit then he could’ve waited 3 days for an authority to come check on the animal but instead he didn’t even bother researching let alone calling because if he had we’d surely know about it.

Did they even do bloodwork on the poor cat. There are PLENTY of blood tests they can run in a lab which usually takes 24 hours to come back OR if the practice has an in house lab they can get results within like 30 minutes. Did they test for feline leukemia or fip? Did they test thyroid, kidney or liver function. This guy should have gone to the emergency vet. I agree with H3 on that one, especially if the dude was worried about her. Im also wondering if anyone else in the vet field has the same questions

H3 drilled him as they should’ve. He lied about dates, about when he got the cat and how, what he saw in the room with the cat, he lied about sleeping with the cat owner and even knowing her. He then said she didn’t deserve to know what happened to her animal. That is EVIL. The cat owner AND Jacob are completely in the wrong here. You do not kidnap an animal and then hold it for 4 days without being seen COVID or not. H3 did their normal interviewing style and if the cat owner came on she would’ve been drilled all the same. BOTH of them have been negligent to this poor cat.

I don’t get why H3 is coming for him. An adult cat weighed 3.8 lbs, 5m is plenty for vet visit. Adult cat 3.8lb with no intensive vet care is neglect 100%. Absolutely appalling she did that, and H3 is acting like he was assuming and that taking cat to the vet was a crazy move.

What were the symptoms? If it was like diabetes it could have creeper up on both cat and owner and been too late. Happened to me. Our first fur baby paved the way to know how to care for the second. 2 in every 70 cats gets diabetes and that was my 2 childhood cats! The second survived for 5 years on insulin cause we knee the signs and caught it early. Our boy didn't make it a year after his diagnosis

So they think people just leave food in bowls all day for their pets? The pet would eat it allllllll so quick! Ofc theirs no food in bowl if it’s not dinner or breakfast time.. and water bowls get empty frequently if you aren’t filling it super high or if it’s a small bowl, maybe she just hadn’t seen the water was empty today, I don’t always notice it right away but that doesn’t mean said pet isn’t drinking water every day

My neighbour passed away and nobody knew for a week or so. Her cats were stuck inside with no care until she was found. There were no signs of neglect on any of these cats. This man could not possibly be responsible for the cats death unless he activly did somethig to it, which i dont think he did
