    Do you have an alternative that you recommend? I was able to go 140,000 miles on the last vehicle when the dealership told me I had maybe one or two days left in the car before it would completely stall out this time around, I am at 20,000 miles. I certainly wouldn’t deny your own experience, but it would be helpful for others to read it. There’s always an explanation as to why one experience would turn out adversely. If a person is to determine whether their mileage is gonna vary on the Short side, knowing a bit more about the circumstances surrounding your personal experience would be beneficial.

    The concept of a universal remote doesn't work for me. I like using a separate remote for each device. I use my 650 to replace the missing remote on an AV receiver I bought five years ago. It's great for that.

    I mean, you expressed what is certainly a legitimate school of thought. For my part, as a field engineer, it would be impractical to carry around seven or eight different remotes when this one can handle all the devices I must access, and add or remove a device on the fly.

    Well, I have spoken to store clerks at AutoZone, advanced auto parts, O’Reilly‘s, and they have told me that the customer feedback they’ve received on the product I used, and also blue Devil, has been very positive. You are talking a $6000 repair or more to get the head gasket taken care of vs a $20-$40 solution. Thus far, I’ve gone 20,000 miles. The prior Prius went 140,000 miles which is slightly more than the average person gets out of a brand new car before they get rid of it. I am not making any pretense here to any guaranteed come, but I have been honest, and the experiences have been real.

    So the only thing you did was a speedtest? You didn't even try to stream video or use it for any surfing? These units are notorious for not being able to handle video on the t-mobile network. It is as if t-mobile has them throttled when you try.

  • @technologistonthego2377
    @technologistonthego23775 күн бұрын

    Good point. That said, I use this hotspot daily at customer sites across Metro-Atlanta, Eastern Alabama, parts of Tennessee. About 80% of the time it outperforms Verizon and delivers speeds sufficient for video conferencing. I regularly stream video off it when on long assignments. I haven’t had issues doing that. Where I have a complaint is with the disparity of upload vs download speeds. I can get 400Mbps down and 7Mbps up. I have complained to T-Mobile about that. I have told them I don’t need 400 mega bit per second download, but I absolutely would love to get a consistent 50 Mb per second upload or better. That’s the speed that makes high-quality image, deliverables easy, it makes it, easy for remote support on video conferencing, screen, sharing, remote, access, etc. I haven’t found T-Mobile answer for that to be satisfactory, but in all fairness, Verizon and AT&T are exactly the same in terms of much faster download speeds thanks upload speeds. However, T-Mobile uploads speed are usually sufficient for video conferencing, screen sharing, and remote access. It’s barely 50% of the time that Verizon can deliver, and AT&T was less than that.

  • @Azagthoth12
    @Azagthoth125 күн бұрын

    @@technologistonthego2377 my speedtest right now shows 292 down, 28.4 up. But Fast shows 2.5 down and 17 up. All speeds in Mbps. T-Mobile is definitely throttling my speed on video. I have 28.8 gb left this month on a hotspot plan.

    It does seem that you’ve got a real hardware issue. Are you able to open up the computer and take a look at the fans to see if they are even turning. Computers shut off that quickly when they are rapidly heating up so us to prevent damage. Remember, this bio setting is not a fix. I only got it after we replaced the CPU cooling system. It merely addresses getting a false positive. If there is a real problem going on with the computer, this setting would do nothing even if you could change it.

  • @technologistonthego2377
    @technologistonthego23775 күн бұрын

    The reason it’s not picking it up is because the K270 keyboard requires a unifying receiver. It’s a different type of technology. The unifying receiver has a little orange logo on the side of it. The non-unifying receivers do not have that. You cannot mix and match them. You would need a mouse that uses a unifying receiver to pair with the 270 keyboard. Also, there is a separate utility that pairs unifying receivers.

If you want to try and sync photos as a standard practice, ONEDRIVE is "supposed" to work at syncing photos/videos from your iPhone and iPad to the Microsoft Onedrive, which presumably would be enabled on the PC.
