Hi Jason. Thanks for the kind comments. Their website says you receive a tea round badge on submission of your evidence of the run. I've only just submitted my data. So waiting now

Thankyou. I am fortunate to know the route. I am often support runner for the recces. Which you should try to get on whhen they are announced. The route is self navigation but the roadbook (you can also download this from the website) you receive at the start is better than the map. But you do get given a route marked map as well. Don't let this phase you. There are a couple of bits you have to concentrate on with navigation. but generally is not that bad. I have four recce videos. Only Buttermere to Dalemain missing. I probably started about 150th place and was never alone. Over the second half the 100 runners will be spread out but you have the company of the 50 runners. If you don't get to Dalemain before they start, you will catch people up. Good luck. See you on the start line.

Well done Mick you gave it a bloody good go. I remember you met me as I crossed the finish line of Lakeland 100 2021. You were a gentleman and a brilliant marshal. I'd love to see you finish it in 2024, you've got this 💪🏻

Well done for getting to Braithwaite, I have the same rule as you about being timed out and not quitting. I won’t be running, I’ve done the 50 several times & now give back by managing Buttermere CP. See you in Buttermere CP next year

You were out there giving it a bloody good go which is more than 99% of the population so don’t beat yourself up. Did Not Fail … Did Nothing Fatal…. are much better ways of thinking of it and everything is a learning curve and you be back stronger the next time 👍

The second half is more testing than the first loop with the more testing being the second half of the second loop. There are less trails but a bit of tarmac work. Its worth the extra effort to do the full marathon. Get our and do a recce on the second half if you can. Good luck
