    great run mick, especially after uts. seen the video of rivington runner doing this one, there is also the smaller one the expresso round. Do you still get a t_shirt from the shop for completing it?

    Great video mick! . How did you find navigating the course? Have entered next years 100 and worried about getting lost lol

  • @mickbrowne6904
    @mickbrowne690410 ай бұрын

    Thankyou. I am fortunate to know the route. I am often support runner for the recces. Which you should try to get on whhen they are announced. The route is self navigation but the roadbook (you can also download this from the website) you receive at the start is better than the map. But you do get given a route marked map as well. Don't let this phase you. There are a couple of bits you have to concentrate on with navigation. but generally is not that bad. I have four recce videos. Only Buttermere to Dalemain missing. I probably started about 150th place and was never alone. Over the second half the 100 runners will be spread out but you have the company of the 50 runners. If you don't get to Dalemain before they start, you will catch people up. Good luck. See you on the start line.

    Well done for getting to Braithwaite, I have the same rule as you about being timed out and not quitting. I won’t be running, I’ve done the 50 several times & now give back by managing Buttermere CP. See you in Buttermere CP next year

    You were out there giving it a bloody good go which is more than 99% of the population so don’t beat yourself up. Did Not Fail … Did Nothing Fatal…. are much better ways of thinking of it and everything is a learning curve and you be back stronger the next time 👍

    The second half is more testing than the first loop with the more testing being the second half of the second loop. There are less trails but a bit of tarmac work. Its worth the extra effort to do the full marathon. Get our and do a recce on the second half if you can. Good luck
