The summer Spine 2022

This is my first summer spine. Setting off from Edale in the Peak District, the event went to Hebden Bridge, Hardraw (Hawes), Middleton-in-Teesdale, Alston and Bellingham where my race came to a sudden stop. I tried to capture my real feelings but as the event went on I forgot to record some footage. The weather was perfect and It was as hard as I imagined it to be. But the amount of pain to endure was way more than expected. It took me 4 days and 16 hours to get from Edale to Bellingham.

Thank you. I do plan another try in 2024. But time will tell. Always lovely to see a friendly face.
Well done, I raise my hat to you. Will there be a next time? Will you be looking into your footwear (Inc socks)? . You did really, really well. Was it the leg injury or the feet that caused them to pull you from the race? These and so many other questions... Thanks for all your videos. Hope you'll continue posting.

@jimmys60ny. I had done loads of treatment on my feet on the run up to the event so I was quite surprised to get so many. I could have carried on with just the blisters. The shoes are normally like slippers to me. It must have been the terrain. I could not articulate my ankle and the swelling was the main reason I was pulled from the checkpoint by the doctor. I plan having another go in 2024. But I have to "WANT" it or it just wont work. Thanks for the kind comment about the videos.
