    Hahaha, this is really strange.. When I postprocess I have the G53 as a standard instead of the clearance height. And I am not having my machine going down into the stock. That offset in the settings is scary, you can set it in both positive and negative.. I have crashed proximity sensors that way 🫣

    Thanks, I am thinking about getting this one or to buy the Pro Channel II. The only reason to get this is the de-esser, but as I can see it does not work very well especially because it is tied to the compressor. How useful or is compared to the dbx 286 de-esser?

  • @BMRStudio
    @BMRStudio6 күн бұрын

    @@BojanBojovicI think the de-esser work very well on this gear. DBX 286 is far more noisy then the Voice Channel. Less dynamic range, and dbx is not transparent at all. Has its own typical Dbx smiley curve on low ends. But nowadays, You can replace all this analog gears with even stock plugins..if the application is not live. For live, there is a lot of decent intelligent interfaces for around 1000$ where You can load a damm good FPGA based 48bit algorithms, on a 24bit direct AD conversion line, for Your channel strip. So.. Yeah, technology is just running.

    I had the issue with G53 G0 Z0, and it dragged a carbide bit across a hardened vice jaw... When you create an NC program (8:07) there's an option on the right for Safe Retracts and Home Positioning. I there you can set Safe Retracts to Clearance Height, instead of G53.

    @@BMRStudio I've got two theories as to why this happened to us: 1. We've got our Z axis the wrong way up (in software) and positive Z should be downwards - If you look at 3:04 in your video the Blue arrow is up, should that be down? (Mine points up too) - you'll need to invert the axis in UCCNC as well. This is only the problem if it's causing the G53 to go the wrong way, which I'm kinda sceptical of, TBH. 2. I think this is the more likely one. No homing. The machine doesn't know where Z0 is, as G53 is based on machine coordinates, if they're not set by homing it'll head off in some random direction. I've since added home/limit switches to my machine, so I should be able to test if that's the case.

    Well, the G53 G0 Z0 should be at the top of your Z axis. So the G code will tell the machine to go max up to the Z0 start to move to the position and go down into the material. So either you turn the blue arrow in Fusion so that Z+ is going to be down instead of up. But that can be a bit dangerous and you might destroy some endmills. I use the free version of Fusiong too and it is working perfectly, yes you cannot use different tools in the same postprocess, but that is ok for me. So you need to change position of your Z axis sensor so that the machine is having G53 Z0 in the top instead.

  • @BMRStudio

    DT 1770 is a best all rounder, Neumann 20 is a bit too stiff but has excellent mid-highs, absolutely studio headphone, Sony WH is not this class at all… kinda a MEH… E-drummers need something durable, easy to repair, easy to clean, cheap to replace, with excellent ear covers, isolation and good dynamic response at low,and highs. I saw many studios using old Beyers DT-770 M, AKG K 92 cheap closed, Beyer DT 150, Sennheiser HD 300 or 280 PRo… Keep in mind, drumming is a heavy, active, full body exercise with flying arms and lot of beer, and sweating 😂 Best if You export your drum session and go to listen in a shop. And buy a powerful headphone amp what can drive high impedance drivers! Behringer or ART will do the job… don’t spend millions of Dollars on it…

How should I treat or approach the procedure again, the exact same way? Let’s assume those two buttons are shot and need to be replaced, then should just open up the rubber part and deep clean inside with a magnifier using DeOxi? Having a phantom power supply that can only be enabled for both inputs at the same time is not entirely too uncommon, actually. The MOTU M2 comes to mind as another example, and a bunch of mixers like my Mackie 402 VLZ4. Usually it doesn't hurt anything either, although the inputs need to be adequately protected to avoid damage when things are plugged / unplugged (see various articles on the "Phantom Menace"). A properly wired passive microphone is connected across XLR pins 2+3 and floating relative to 1 and as such never sees any voltage at any time. Miswired mics still seem to crop up every once in a while among ultracheap dynamics but in general nonstandard pinouts should be very uncommon in anything made since the 1970s or so.

  • @BMRStudio
    @BMRStudio8 күн бұрын

    Its just bad design, to send phantom power out on both channels... Probably companies are copying each other, beside fighting on market. Just one example... on some marketing brochure, Steinberg even showing a girl singing in a condenser MIC, while her guitar is recorded with an dynamic mic. Or even in the user manual You see mic and not a mic connected... No, My friend, is just bad. BAD. Just like the MONO monitoring from Yamaha Steinberg... Jesus! :) How much they saved? 30 cents? Many people turned to Me with the same issue. Yes people buying second hand or cheap microphones, and wiring can be bad. But, 48V shouldn't be on channel, what is not decided to power a MIC in a session. Not on any gear, tape recorder, mixer or interface. Totally not professional. That's why we have RED lights on any gear to warn Us, - hey, there is a phantom power on!

    @BMRStudio I hear ya ! The Resonance makes your ears bleed, it's good for sampling drum loops , . I definately wish it was a Quasimidi RAVEOLUTION.. Can't wait for your next video. ✌️.

    Hello, I have a problem with my Roland MC-909. It doesn't start, it stays fixed on the initial roland screen, I can't do anything, just reload the system from smart media, which works fine, but it doesn't start. What could it be?

    Sound like memory error… caused by some dead caps on the 3.3 and 5v rail. Need service!

    I had already measured all the capacitors and the voltages are correct. I also replaced the flash and reloaded the firmware via the smart media, but it still doesn't start. Also replace the RAM. I'm afraid it's the ic1 processor

    I can't go to that screen, because the machine won't boot. it stops at the first home screen with the words roland groovebox.

    Also pepple that are trying to get the MC909 EDITOR to work on Windows must realise .. 1. MIDI over USB will only work on Windows 7 and 8. 2.beyond Windows 8 you will need to use the 5 PIN MIDI ports on the MC908 and a suitable 5 pin MIDI device eg. WINDOWS 10 with a DOREMIDI HUB.. 😊

    When you compare it to the 5050 and the 5080 , is the 50 series better than the JV1080 module ? I lose track of the models and the YEARS.😢
