5:06 The point of this scene was to show Anton is just as vulnerable as any other human being. The movie before this scene showed Anton as an unstoppable killing machine, seemingly invincible, but the fact Moss managed to wound him and survive their encounter in the hotel shows that Anton is not invincible. It also shows how the encounter wounded him emotionally, you can see him visibly angry during the whole scene.

I used to listen to Confused Matthew a lot back in the day when he was posting... and I'm no expert, so take this with a grain of salt... but I believe he's probably somewhere on the autism spectrum. He demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding when it comes to anything abstract or subtextual. He only understands meaning when it's really clear and straight-forward and logical in the movie. If it's at all left up to interpretation or done in a roundabout way, he seems to miss it or misunderstand it. If the explanation for things is more emotional than logical, or goes against logic in any way, or has dramatic irony, etc, then he gets frustrated very easily, in a way that suggests an insecurity with his inability to understand something. It's like a compulsion he needs everything to be perfectly logical. If you look at his reviews of his favorite movies and his explanations as to why he likes them, he'll always relate even the most emotional value of the movie to something logical. An example would be his Moulin Rouge review, when he talks about why Christian and Satine's love is so strong, despite it being so fast and brief... He says that he had this complaint with Romeo and Juliet in high school, and his teacher had to explain to him ("with the patience of a saint" apparently, suggesting Matthew was very stubborn about it) that it doesn't matter what an objective perspective would have to say about their love... it's real and deep and meaningful to them because it's their subjective perspective of being in love with each other, and that overrides logic or practicality in people's brains. Matthew had to be specifically explained this. He couldn't feel it. It had to be put into logical words and made mechanical before he understood it. Another example is The Dark Knight. The way he explains why he loves that movie is largely centered around the Joker's twisted logic and how that's specifically intended, which is very clear by the point Joker starts telling different backstories about his scars. At this point, Confused Matthew makes the point, "There is nothing to understand about this man." and that's what's so scary about him to Matthew. Not being able to understand the Joker scares Matthew as much as any lack of logic or esoteric meaning in a movie does... but the difference with the Joker is that it's clear this was intended, so Matthew is able to logically grasp onto the fact that at least this lack of logic IS what the meaning is. The Joker represents chaos and does that very well, and very clearly. Very explicitly. Even logically. He specifically states "I'm an agent of chaos." and explains *logically* why he acts illogically. Matthew is able to grasp this and actually enjoy something subversive and esoteric for once, so he liked it for that reason. If the Joker's philosophy had been left up to interpretation, then Matthew probably would have been doing a Confused Matthew review of The Dark Knight and yelling, "The Jokers actions MAKE NO SENSE! WHY would he get himself caught? WHY would he care about these people on the boats? WHY would he burn the money after he did all this just to get it?! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THIS MOVIE?!?!" But, luckily for Matthew... they explain it in clearly worded dialogue every step of the way. "Some men aren't looking for anything logical... some men just want to watch the world burn." ... "The Joker planned to get caught. He wanted me to lock him up in the MCU!" ... "All you care about is money. This city deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to them." ... "Tonight, you're all gonna be part of a social experiment." ... "What were you trying to prove? That deep down... everyone's as ugly as you? You're alone." So Matthew understood it. I believe that lack of ability to understand subtle cues or intuit esoteric/circumstantial meaning or unspoken commonly understood tropes and social understandings, etc, is a common symptom of autism. So I believe that may be the reason his reviews are often frustratingly lacking in that kind of perspective.
