When your slabs reside on levels which are aligned with the top of the construction floor and you need to export with the top of finished floor as Building Storey, by default Revit will assign the floor to the level below. Rather than placing slabs to the finish floor level and use a vertical offset, the "IfcSpatialContainer" Shared Parameter is used to override the automatic assignment and link the slab to the chosen level using its name. But it's an additional manual step to prepare for proper export.

Some very welcome improvements. Proper mapping management goes a long way to avoiding errors. Now we only have to ensure that every generic model is actually properly categorised or mapped, so we get rid of most of the proxy elements. And speed improvements are also good. Anything to help people to get the work done and not avoiding IFC model sharing.

Great video!!! Thanks for being so clear giving us an excellent overview in only 10 minutes. The only thing I still don't understand is how to assign custom property sets to the model. Before the 4.3 civil 3d plugin it was necessary to assign to the solids extracted form the corridor the property sets using Property Set Data panel. Is there a "simple" way to define corridor property sets in order to export ifc objects with all required data? Form what I understood, the only possibile way is to modify .json files.
@gianfrancopicco55272 ай бұрын
I mean, even modifying .json files the only things I can define are corridor properties, while corridor objects properties like UNICLASS codes of Pave, Base, etc. can't be assigned. Do I still need to extract solid from corridors?

Thank you for your comment! This is a very common request and it's a bit complicated becausethe system color is basically "just" a filter in Revit and not a real material. I don't think the solution should be to override the actual materials, but more the representation / color in IFC. I know the Revit IFC Team is looking into this and I hope we'll have a solution for this soon (though of course, can't promise anything) 🤞

Why, in your opinion, this can t work: "Lunghezza Length Lunghezza Length Lunghezza istanza" Basically for the remapping of a railing we have two family that use two different parameter to define their lenght and in export we would like to export them as "lunghezza" and find it under the dimension tab in solibri. In this case the parameter lunghezza istanza is correctly remapped for as lunghezza for those family who has it. But the native parameter lunghezza of the native railing is not exported anymore.
