Man, we were all frustrated after the MTSU game. I was cursing, throwing stuff, & completely deflated after that game. I still kept posting 5-0 into LSU, & 10-2. MTSU didn't matter when Meevis kicked that clutch beauty over the goalposts to win it all. Then I was dancing and singing, lol. All was forgiven. I agree they were holding back. I was at the MEM gm, & they were holding back in that game as well. They scored when they needed to & were experimenting.

Always love Brian. Wish he would have said his thoughts on where he thinks the last 3 guys on MIZ's board are going. He did say they're not done, so I'm hoping we're getting Epenesa. That would be an absolute coup. Right now I've got us sitting at around 15-16 in HS recruits by the end of the cycle. Grab him & we're inside of 15.
Missouri should always recruit at a high level they just been underachieving for many years.
This...two major metropolitan areas on either side of the state, as well as being the only real Division 1 university in the entire state. There's never been any good reason as to why Missouri hasn't been much better overall as a program since the late 1960's. Technically? They could very well have been a top 15 program of all time had things went the way that they should have went. You got Notre Dame, Nebraska, Oklahoma, USC, Texas, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Miami, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Penn State, Clemson, Florida, Auburn, Texas A&M, Washington, Oregon, and who else after that? I mean really? Think about it.
Absolutely sustainable momentum. Mizzou’s brand has never been more attractive. A CFP run this winter takes them to the next level.

It feels like this years on field performance is massively important to keep recruiting momentum. Hopefully we can make the playoffs and really establish ourselves as a up and coming “blue blood”

I didn’t. They beat us all but one year. The series was almost a guaranteed loss that was often uncompetitive

Haven't heard much lately about Fasusi's interest in Mizzou. Tweeted about making a decision of some sort this Friday. Think about adding him to this already very good OL recruiting class.
No, he has made it clear from the Schools that have recruited him Mizzou had been removed from the top 3. It's now Texas and Oklahoma if I remember right but yes Mizzou is out now.

I could actually see Carroll and Noel both flirting with 1000 yards. If somebody like Jones, Roberts, or Lacy gets a decent number of carries, then that's a good thing for the future. At quarterback, I think you can do okay with Drew Pyne. He had a very solid season for Notre Dame a couple of years ago. I actually wouldn't be surprised if Brett Brown or Harold Blood is the 3rd stringer. Maybe even Tommy Lock? You could maybe get Glover some snaps late in a blowout, but he looked really raw in the spring game.
I really wanted mizzou to go to the B10 instead of the SEC yrs ago. This is the 1st year I'm happy that we went to the SEC, lol.
Drink made a huge mistake not playing Badie & playing Roundtree to have his bell cow back. Badie clearly was a much better player. Faster, burst, agility, pass catching, etc. Roundtree was mid. He should have split time or handed the reigns to Badie. It's important to learn from mistakes. Last year there was such a huge drop-off from Peat to Shrader, & Shrader was the best back in the country. We don't have that this year. If either one of these guys is a 6ypc back, by all means give it to him every time. I don't think either of these guys are. Split time, see who produces better. Maybe against certain defenses one will be better than the other. I'm not worried at all about RB. We'll be fine. Got a heck of a line to run behind.

Will this be the year that Tavorous Jones steps up? It feels like he's been here forever and last year it seems like he fell out of favor for Jamal Roberts for that 3rd guy in the rotation.

I would not be surprised to see Green at LG and the kid from SMU (Bryan) taking the LT position. He's got much more experience at LT and lord knows you need experience at LT, Cook will agree.

@@shawnkurtz4424 Bryant is playing LT unless he just doesn't get up to snuff quickly enough in fall camp. Green LG. Right side is set I think. Why do you like Richardson over Reichart, Wilson, & Walters. I think all 4 are starter caliber, but I'd have Richardson slightly behind them.
@johnberger8817 I think Logan may need more time, plus like John I think he woukd fit better at guard. Richardson while juco does have game reps against college competition so there's less of a learning curve physically.
@@shawnkurtz4424 Last year we played the same 5 the entire season, which was part of the reason by season end they were just dominating guys. I hope we rotate a little more this year, b/c it's an anomaly that an OLine stays healthy all year. We need to be rotating two guys in, just in case. We need to keep Cook healthy, the entire state is relying on him. This seasons gonna be great.

The question is will we get Fasusi, Babalola, & Epenesa. I think we're still in on all 3. Epenesa would be a huge get for us. He's from Edwardsville, we're way better than IOW. A 5star DL would be huge for us.

@IamDixonMayez Michigan. Online in sports we generally use 3 letters(sometimes 4 or 5) to abbreviate teams. MIC=Michigan, OSU=Ohio State, OKSU=Oklahoma State, OU=Oklahoma, UGA=Georgia, VAN=Vanderbilt, ALA=Alabama, UCON=Connecticut, AUB=Auburn, WVU=West Virginia, MIZ=Missouri, Etc.

If just Grill would have played we would have had a winning record. We were 7-2 with two really good road wins against 19-15 MIN & 22-11 PIT. Tonje missed the whole season. Grill misses 3/4ths & they were projected starters. East missed 2 gms. Carallero missed 7 gms. Kaleb Brown missed the entire season. Pierce was hurt, played hurt, & missed 11 gms. Jackson Francois missed, just kidding lol. You get my point. We just didn't have the depth to compete. This year we have an awesome starting 5, all 4 star guys. These are guys that Gates wanted. We've got 2 4 star So's returning that will be better. Bates is going to have an all SEC season. We killed it in the portal 4 4st trans, & not .90 guys, top guys. Mitchell is a dawg. Perkins I've seen play, he's the real deal. Warrick & Crews will be really good. Bates. 5 4st Fr, 4 in the top 100, a few of them will hit. Grill coming back. We're easily 9 or 10 deep. Totally different team. The entire team is 4 star guys right now.

Mizzou is recruiting like a blue blood! Mizzou has out-recruited some blue bloods! (But 1 great season of play, plus great recruiting for a year, doesn’t actually make you a blue blood. I see the distinction is lost on you. But let’s do this on a regular basis, and regularly make the cfp! Then maybe it will become a blue blood. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.).
It did last year big time and Cook struggled immensely after those int's he threw at LSU. He wasn't the same player. We had ZERO answers on offense other than pounding the rock with Schraeder. We cant let that happen this year.
