Luther Burden, Theo Wease, and Mookie Cooper will all be gone after 2024. This is a golden opportunity to redshirt James Madison II and Courtney Crutchfield. How about Brett Norfleet and the tight ends? Good on Washington and Oregon for, unlike Bill Self, keeping historic rivalries alive despite monumental change.

Receiver should be interesting this year. Burden and Wease form one of the best duos in the country. I could see Mookie and Marquis Johnson switching in and out depending on the situation. I also expect to see Miller, Manning, and maybe even Blood getting some reps. On an interesting note, the roster indicates that Mookie still has 2025 eligibility. I'm not really sure how everything works with the COVID year. I believe Mookie redshirted at Ohio State in 2020. Does that mean he gets to use 2020 as an additional year? At TE, I hope to see Jordon Harris move ahead of Tyler Stephens, and don't discount Harris as a receiver. He's faster than Norfleet on his high school tape and had some nice receiving highlights. I would suspect Jude James will redshirt because he's a big receiver coming out of high school and he'll need to add weight to play TE.

Marquis is going to put up big numbers this year. Mekhi Miller is also a really good wr. I think they're still gonna like up Wease & Mekhi on the outside, the other guys are too short. Manning will get some snaps out there. Slot guys will be Mookie, Burden, & Marquis.

@@Drollpanther Yes & YES. I like both. They play different positions. Mekhi Miller is 6'1" 200lbs. He can play slot or outside. Mookie is 5'9" maybe, 185lbs. He's a slot only, very quick player. You can do end arounds with him. So when you line up two boundary guys it's Mekhi & Wease. In the slot it's Luther, Mookie, or Marquis. Manning is an OWR, so they'll probably work him in at boundary as well. Exciting times to have these many weapons for Cook.

Sucks that Simms went to USC. Gotta get these in state 4 star guys locked up. If we get Olugbode & Boggs, that would still be an awesome class. I do however like Simms size. Need OWR not just slot guys. We needed to get either Simms or Washington. You see how Burden didn't play well outside. It's easier to play & find slot wrs. Madison, James, Manning, & Deloach are the only boundary WRs moving forward. Only Madison & Manning project to be starters.
Next year we'll have Marquis, Mekhi, Manning, Blood, Crutchfield, Madison, Deloach, James, the FR this year. We're set for awhile. I just looked up Manning. I can't believe they burned his RS on special teams with zero targets. I would have held off till the last 4 games.
