Jerry Yan was the best actor to portray this role. THERE I SAID AND NOBODY CAN CHANGE MY MIND. ❤❤❤ No matter how many remake of this tv series they did or will do, this role was made just for him and suited him in every aspects!! N9 wonder it was a massive hit in early 2000's that cemented him and his bandmates career. ❤❤❤

The police arrest him because his mom looking for him and he actually was running away from home after he wondered if he killed that man. The man was one of 4 or 5 people who were beating him. He finally got angry enough to hit back hard only the last man he hit the hardest he wasn't sure if he killed him.

Although this neighbor man lost everything he still had a heart to love the child. That child became his everything. A love and new family to replace the loss of the old one. He even treated Dao Ming Si like family. At 18 Dao Ming Si was old enough to be a son.

At same time older man suffer his wife left him taking the kids too after his business failed. Man miss having a son too. The man, Dao Ming Si, and the child spend time together like a family they missed.

She sent the police to look for the child.** The neighbor was likely released because he was able to call Dao Ming Si*. The mother knew the neighbor likely kept her baby alive. The child could have told her and the fact that the child was well cared of means the neighbor was helping. Furthermore Dao Ming Si could have intervened with money. Wish they gave us more footage. *The neighbor would not have access to afford a lawyer nor does he have any relatives. The only person he was able to call was Dao Ming Si which is likely why Dao Ming Si got the phone call that day. **Alternately the neighbor unable to call for lawyer called Dao Ming Si. He had the money*** to make things happen: trace the mother and get the neighbor bailed out of jail. ***Previous episode Dao Ming Si said you can look like you have everything but not have anything. He had reason to resent his parents because they were never home and always away working for money. After the neighbor said he couldn't help the child**** because it required money for doctors in America that was when Dao Ming Si said it is important to have (lots of) money. ****After the neighbor (father) found the child he cried and said I'm not able to give you anything the worse thing he could not do was go to America to see if doctors there can help the child talk.**** *****Another miracle or wish happen [numerous shooting stars or meteors came up meaning many wishes were made and being (or will be) granted] and that was the child was able to snap out of the previous trauma and could talk again.

Don't know if you noticed: as the police pulled the child from the father the child started to cry and called out Papa. That trauma forced the child to talk again. Hence the talking issue may have been related to psychological trauma of losing a parent.

First time this mini series aired in my Country when i was 10 ( 2002), i remembered watching it at 10 PM before going to bed..i just watched 20 second while scene of vanness wu dancing with aisa on the street.. Many many years thinking of what this drama is, then i found in 2019 on youtube.. and this is METEOR RAIN..finally relieved...😂😂😂
