Since Covid, I’ve wanted to create a space to keep live performance going in the digital world. It’s been a pleasure making music with some of the great musicians NYC has to offer. I love music and I hope you enjoy!

This is so valuable Get it down in all twelve keys and you have everything you need to make your own sound. That major pentatonic on its own has a Japanese sound. Put a funk beat on it and it becomes jazz/funk

@Anthony Giordano yes the chord changes but your solo only fits musically not with the "song" it's not recognizable. Sounds like you used a song as basis for a new song

@@rielzuad7028 Yes, I agree with you to some extent. In Jazz, some musicians, typically saxophonists but not limited to others, will tend to play too much on the changes and not improvise outside of these changes. Except for differing phrases, approach notes, inclosures, etc. This means that the saxophonist (or musicians) is still not beyond the stage of practicing the rudiments and is taking the time to master muscle memory so that they could pass this stage, then and only then they will pass if they have the ability to express themselves. Contemporary examples of persons past this stage are; Patrick Bartley, Chad LB, Ravi Coltrane and more that are not on the top of my head.
