  What I don't like with this command is that it looks for the "next" date based on the order it is in the list, not the next calendar date. I like to know how to get the next calendar date, no matter where it is in the column or row the search is?

  Hello Alan, Also, there is an other way to store your default settings without saving template. Just, open an empty workbook and set your styles and then save as it on your desctop. Then, cut this file to your excel trust center storage folder and paste in it. when you open excel, it will open it with your style as default

  This still works in newer Office 365 versions. However, Microsoft renamed the old Comments to *Notes* for some reason... just to make it confusing. The *key* to making this work is to right-click on the *border* of the Note to see the formatting options. If you right-click inside the Note, you'll only see formatting options for the Font.

  Hello, Not sure if i'll be able to explain this very well but here goes... I am trying to do this with cells that have conditional formatting which changes the colour of a cell depending on data in another cell. This video covers counting cells where the colour is manually inputed but is there a way of counting colours that are automatically changed due to conditional formatting rules? I input a date in one cell, the following cell will change colour when an date (e.g. =(E20+730) ) reaches within 45days (orange) and again (red) once the date has been passed... I'm hoping to create a dashboard on another page that can count when a box in a certain range has changed to these colours giving the option to quickly glance and see that no dates have expired passed a predetermined amount of days... Does that make sense?... Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated!... Thanks for your time! : )

  Hi, I just glanced over this question, however, I would forget about the colour change and focus on the criteria you're using. You can using a COUNTIFS or other formula to count the dates that are within 45 days of their corresponding date, or passed their corresponding date, no problem. Don't use the colour as the criteria for the dashboard.

  I really need to sort out something. I need to highlight a complete row, based on the LATEST or most recent date that appears in a Column. In order to highlight the latest date cell corresponding the column it is ok, and I use the formula MAX that works flawlessly; but when I try to highlight the complete Row the problems appear and I can't find a solution. Can you give me any help ?

  Hi, this is extremely helpful. I need a dynamic sum and criteria range, so that when I copy the formula over, the sum range and criteria range will change. Is there a way to do that in this example? It would reference a cell for the A:A and B:B.
