I will make mistakes in my videos, the hope is is that if I provide transparency to my research process and sources, people can make up their own minds after the fact.
I’m always trying to make my coverage more accurate, but due to the scope of some projects and my emphasis on densely packed scripts with lots of sources some corner cutting is sometimes inevitable to meet deadlines.
I hope once this channel grows to a sustainable point I can take more time with videos than the usual 45 days.
Btw, the name IMPERIAL just comes from when I used to play Skyrim - it definitely is not an endorsement of imperialism lmao.

Great video, just wanted to add one thing: Yemen was split into North and South Yemen at this time. Aden would have been located in South Yemen.
I'm not sure, but I think at 4:57 and 5:13 epileptic people won't be happy
Fascinating
Let me guess.... 91 soldiers? 91 Politicians? 91 Police Officers? Judges lawyers, statesmen??? Ohhh...None of them. They went for cowardly targets like children and females, who were totally unconnected to their "cause". I'm pro democracy and the right to vote for it, but not at any cost. Especially when it comes to the innocent.
great job with the documentary
Correction: The Waddie Haddad was the leader of a breakaway faction of the PFLP called the PFLP-EO. The PFLP itself was lead by George Habash, but Haddad and his wing were expelled from the PFLP in 1973
Swiss franks are the most beautiful money I've ever seen. I've been in Switzerland last year and remember how I was astonished when I was looking at franks after getting them from currency exchange
Crimea is a part of Ukraine, Please make sure not to make this mistake ever again...
That was the map of Ukraine at the time. Crimea wasn’t a Ukrainian territory until 1954. They also didn’t receive their Romanian territories until 1948. I'm not using the Reichskommissariat borders here, instead I am using the de jure borders prior to 1945 as seen here commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Ukraine-growth.png#mw-jump-to-license
Some corrections and additions: Wilhelm Tell is supposed to be printed on every 5 Fr coin (it is not 100% sure, but if you ask a Swiss he will tell you so), "Helvetia" is printed on the other coins and can be found standing from 2 to 1/2 Fr coins and only her head on the 20, 10 and 5 Rappen coins. Swiss coins have a 1/2 Fr mark for a 50 Rappen coin. Even though everyone calls it "es 50gi". The creation of the smallest Coin (5 Rappen) costs more to produce than its value (5.4 Rappen, 2022). You have to be able to pay by cash where there are goods or services to be sold, cash cannot be refused (WZG Art.3) We have used the same prints for the 10Rappen coin since 1879.
en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces194.html - it's not Tell unfortunately, it's just a generic herdsman on the 5 CHF coin
As a croatian born in Switzerland in 2000, from two parents who fled from the Yugoslavian War, I never considered myself to be a "Schwiizer". I was and am, always, a foreigner to the multi generational Swiss habitats here. I struggled a lot with my own identity, because I don't live in "my" orignal country, I can't "steal" another countrys sense of patriotistic or how you say it; nationalistic pride, or rather, just idetifying with this country. This video openened my eyes on how I see my problem. After all these years of battling with the idea of being "swiss", I've accepted it. Born and raised, as a foreigner, in a culture, which the bank notes perfectly depict, I can truly say that is the essence of Switzerland - it lives in me and I can't deny it any further. All of my ideas and concepts of my own identity crumbled after watching this video. So thank you very much and God bless you.
Wonderful Video!
I love the aesthetic of this channel
why don't we have pictures of our famous historical figures on out bills? let me answer that with another question. do we have famous historical figures? didn't think so
I always loved our bills. They are ubiquitous but the're also one of the most intricate and thought out things one can own. There's so much to see on them, so many interesting concepts hidden on those plastified pieces of paper, like microperforations depicting various concepts that can only be seen by putting the bill over a light. Other things can be found in transparency as, sandwiched between the two outer layers is a third transparent layer part patterns on it. It also makes up the cross in the top left and, I believe, allows for some patterns to be embossed on the paper. Those bills are too much fun to decipher. I'm astounded (but also thank god) there aren't more conterfeits solely due to how fun those bills are to study
Nah this ain’t North Korea bitch RED AND BLACK EAGLE ON MY CHEST ITS GOOD TO BE AN ALBANIAN KEEP MY HEAD UP HIGH FOR THAT FLAG I DIE I M PROUD TO BE IN ALBANIAA
“A friend gave this to me, it’s Albanian. Can you translate it for me?”
the video was very satisfying to watch or listen to and hear the facts and personal outlook on how to understand key aspects. thanks for the details o/
8 year old bishop? The Luterans where completely justified in cleasing Rome. SOLA FIDE
Not only bus stops were spectacular, but the majority of non-residential buildings :) I'd say residential buildings and compositions of them were beautiful in their simplicity within block and/or district level ensembles as well.
How many American citizens have been killed in Gaza?
Franco did nothing wrong. He saved Spain from its worst elements, then saved it again by refusing to engage in the most devastating war in human history. Far from being a rabid falangist or fascist, his beliefs and actions show him to be little more than a traditionalist and devout catholic. The fact that Spain returned to a functional liberal democracy after his death shows just how little of an extremist he was.
Medallions with the likenesses of Gagarin and Komarov were left on the surface of the Moon by the Apollo 11 Astronauts - they made it in Spirit.

Russians problem is believing their own propaganda. While any nation can be accused of this Russia doesn't allow authentic public political parties to counter national narrative. Even the framing of the video creator may find reasons to outlaw Memorial for instance.
WTF, we have enough heroes. Just google General Guisan or Duttwiler
I have been looking for a video on the Franco Regime, I really have wanted to learn more about it so thank you for this
This video is absolutely stunning. The way you brought the bank notes to life and emphasized their individual meaning was really pleasing to watch. Thanks a lot💪🏽
Yoooo dont call him william, its willhelm🗣🔥🗣🇨🇭🇨🇭🗣🗣
CERTIFIED MORGENROT MOMENT RAHHH
ahh so the palestinians been doing dumb stuff
As a swiss. I love swiss FR.
"Lacks a foundational conflict"? We've been kickin asses all around Europe since way before the current France, UK let alone the US were a thing. Its the reason for the creation of the country in the first place. We just don't bitch about it at every opportunity
the reason it's hands is because the swiss national bank held a contest about which new design was best, one was the winner, then they decided, you know what, screw that, we're gonna select the second place, which would still have been nifty, but we're gonna slap hands on it, which weren't in the design. Because screw democracy. And that's why we have ugly hands. also, switzerland lacks heroes or martyrs to lift on pedestals? maybe in the time frame in the text that you didn't read, but we have more than enough. Willi Tell or Arnold von Winkelried. Lacks a foundational conflict, eh? Guess the rütlischwur never happened.
Biased coverage. The left would have been just as authoritarian if they had won.
So that makes Franco's dictatorship justified? Stop being a fascist sympathiser. Both sides were flawed. Only an idiot would support either side today.
Edrogan is straight up evil. One of the ugliest figures of today’s politics…
I'm British and I was so confused since the RAF is our air force 😭
CHF 200.- - my favourite! 🇷🇸

the 5 chf coin depicts tell on the backside to this day
Great video👏🏼
Quite a balanced and provocative video. It's great to watch meaningful things in a YT dominated by pet videos
"Most people exchange money while standing", yes, and the Swiss use USD to pay in the brothel.
My money tall like i'm Swiss
Thank you for tackling such an important topic, so often ignored by many. I applaud your insight and approach. You earned yourself a new suscriber
Isn’t the Indian Airlines IC 814 the longest hijacking? Please correct me if I’m wrong.
Swiss currency is awesome I don’t understand why it’s weird
14:11 Airbus 707 😂 it was boeing
Pawkatello?
I love seeing an exploration of Nazi occupation focusing on aspects other than just the atrocities. To be sure the atrocities are the most important part to learn, but without seeing other aspects of the Nazis we make them cartoon villains and we assure yourself we could never be like them.
