The call of the outdoors is the inspiration for all things on this channel. To answer this call properly you must be equipped with badass knives and leather goods. You're going to need bombproof ultralight shelter right? Maybe a cool awkward hat, or a PVC bow? This sky is the limit and weird ideas are the catalyst for the "OddJobsGuy"

Holy fuck I literally spent all day looking for instructions. Finally found them via your video. Thanks dude. You’re the shit (the good kind).
HAHA! Glad I could help 👍
Very cool... some day I need to get the 5 inch for my 13 E350..
For the slower people in your audience can you explain how you got it to work exactly
You bet! Just take the wire that says "Parking Brake" and run it to a ground
Super fire man
How do you secure the unit in place? great video by the way.
About that….its just gravity Thanks for watching 👍
Good video. Thanks for showing us.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What is that bolt that goes in the I beam connecting the radius arm size. Think im going to have to use a star socket to get mines out.?
I'm afraid I don't know exactly which you mean. The I beams connect to the cross member on one side, then a huge bolt running through it and the radius arm on the other side. I used a crescent for the cross member side, and a deep 30mm socket for the long bolt connecting the radius arm and I beam. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
Could you bolt on rather than weld ???
I think they're weld only. On my E-150 the rear climate control lines are tucked in the frame behind the bracket. This would make it very difficult to run a bolt through the frame without coming into contact with these lines.
Does the kit come with the wheels and tires ???
Just the lift no wheels or tires
Looks great
Do you sell these?
What is that part called where the arm is leaning down at 10:19 called? Anyone
Those are the I Beams
So how exactly did you get it to play movie while driving?
Just run the wire labeled "Parking Brake" to a ground
Damn, your a genius 😁
the entry slit is quite unique! Well done
Many Thanks! It kind of tight to get in and out, maybe a half circle would have been better
my e350 keeps turning the dome lights on by itself and drains my battery
Dang! maybe tape them open or shut
Bravo!! "Im your Huckleberry"...
How much you charge to do a kit like this on a 2002 Ford Econoline E250
No time I'm afraid, would be a fun job though
What roof rack do you have?
It's a Smittybilt Defender rack
Did you change your rear end gears? If not, how much power loss did you get with the bigger tires?
I didn't not change gears and it really drives the same. My van has the 9.75 axle with 3.55 gears and a limited slip. If I put on 35" tires then I'd probably change gears, or pull a 3.73 from a salvage yard
What wheels are you running on it? Size and offset?
American Racing Baja's with zero offset
I hope it's okay
Looks like the rear lift was easier than front? How much would a place charge to install that lift kit? I dont have all those tools, lifts, grinders etc
The rear was pretty easy (minus the upper shock mount bolts) Not really sure what a place would charge for labor, but it's a bit of a process.
That’s Awesome. Great Work. I Want This Done To My E-250. Thanks For Sharing.
Thanks for watching!
did you need to get a alignment after?? what motor do you have in the van?? 5.4? 4.6? 351?
I have the 4.6. And yes it desperately needs an alignment after the lift. I pretty much eyeballed it myself. Here's of video of that process kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZH2BrZqLgdHTgM4.html Thanks for watching!
DUDE!! THAT'S BY FAR... the absolute best DIY content I've seen!! Frickin hilarious, too!! Thank you!👍👏👏
Wow you're too kind!! Thanks so much for that, it makes the effort worthwhile.
Raise it into a pet!
Lol are you making these for people???❤
No, just a one and done
@Jbmongold no worries I ended up trying a paria brand version of this and just confirmed I'm a hammock person years of doing this in the army has broke me lol thanks for the reply
That's the lift I want to do on my 99 E350
DO IT!
well done 👍🤙 watched and liked your last van videos . even if I dont have a US van but Volkswagen T4 I love them . channel added to follow you 🤙👍🍺🍺🍺 Greeting from 🇨🇵😉
I need to put some outriggers on the van and float it across the pond!!! thanks for the like and Sub 🇺🇸👍🇫🇷
I have a 2000 e150. I did put solid aluminum rims and automotive 60s all around, but no lift anything. I've been told it looks lowered, but no. I bought it new in 2001, but I don't think I'd have the wear with all to tackle what you did. Even back then. I did think about taller coils, but its fine. Just bought new 60s, next time I may go with more off/ on road tires. But they're definitely more noisy for road use and that's about all she does anyway. It does look nice all up like that. More like a 350. And the black rims are cool. I wanted to get chrome bumpers too, but couldn't see spending the money. So I painted um charcoal. Alls well. Good job 👍👍
Thanks! How did the bumpers hold up to the paint? I'm thinking I want to fab some custom bumpers with tow points and maybe a rear swing away. Still don't have a proper spare tire 😬
@@Jbmongold I repainted them when I first bought it. Thought about chrome, but decided why spend the money. So just painted them a dark gray semi gloss, along with the grill and headlight frames. Needs it again but have too many other things to do.
Cool video ,, Subscribed and thumbs up very well done
Awesome thank you! 👍🏻
That was hilarious! Thanks.
Did you check on it after 15 mins?? If the parents haven't returned to it something happened to parents. It was very hungry which means it was there too long. Just to be short.. you should have kept it and raised it as a pet or new family member. With a 80% mortality rate it most likely wouldn't have made it. They make excellent companions as they are intelligent & social. Wish u would have made a follow up video.. it probably died most likely. The parents would have been around screaming at u if they saw u near chick. R. I. P. little sparrow.
Bro be gentle with the bird that was a dam baby wth
What kind of solder did you use? Does it matter?
I don't think it matters all that much but someone out there would say otherwise
Promo`SM
Lol get back out there and kill that thing quick!
Can you do my van???
I wish I could! No time I’m afraid
I have that same head unit love it
Nice!! What's your go to movie???
Actually, was, in its nest, then was deposited in an abandoned nest, unless a lot of bird activity is recent there. So he put bait, or a corpse, on his roof, because the nest might have been abandoned due to predators and activity ceased, or it will attract the predator the parent bird was migrating the chick away from, on the chick this time without protection. If you find a bird, you keep it, that s the Mother Nature thing satisfied. The parent bird can tend the chick on the floor, have it nearer floor food resources, and do you see how it uses the post as scarecrow? It would be a safer nesting place if the predator is scared of those things. But anyway, chicks remain silent alone until they cannot wait more for food and once Human happens to hold it, no way back, nowhere to go back for the bird.
Please put the guard back on that grinder! I, your insurance agent, your plastic surgeon and your family will thank you!
Haha! Wise advice to be sure. I have had countless cutoff wheels shatter and have not drawn blood yet. I feel like eye pro is adequate, but maybe I should quit rolling the dice.
@@JbmongoldI've dodged WAY more than my fair share of bullets too. So far anyway. Hey man, its your skin, do whatcha want but I wouldn't want to think about that grinder every time I shave.
What is the price of converting a 2006 Ford e 350 van to lift it and the same?
That same kit rn is priced at $3194. It was several hundred less when I got it. The demand and it's popularity has brought the price up a bit I'm assuming.
So what was the problem with the original camber nut?
Maxed out it still left the wheels with a ton of positive camber. The new nut is set at a steeper angle allowing more travel
Good afternoon, how much do you charge for work?
Well this is not something I do professionally. I try to fix or fabricate anything I can to save a little money and probably just because it fascinates me. Sorry I can’t help beyond that
Nice
Hello, the same work was done on my Econoline e350 and I have a problem with the turn bars, can you help me solve it, how do you insist on aligning it?
Hi, I am working on an alignment video and I'm sorry I have not yet uploaded it. However, here is the caster/camber bushing I used from Napa. It did great for my E-150. Let me know if it works! www.napaonline.com/en/search?text=264-1990&referer=v2
Hola eleve mí Econoline y las barras de dirección me quedaron mal cruzadas y no la puedo alinear...me podrás decir cómo lo isiste tu?
