I think you may have to re-read the TQ shift rules. The shift only gives 1 right if the attacker is higher quality than the defender regardless of total difference. That doesn't change the result for the first combat however. Also units with a MA of 0 that are forced to retreat are eliminated, so the stronghold should have done a determined defense. You may want to stack units with gaps in between each other to increase the stack strengths; ZOC bonds will prevent enemy units from moving in the gaps.

With Carrier just go through each training scenario that introduces more rules to make it easier to learn the game…Then it’s easy to go for the full game.

I've not seen Omaha overrun or abandoned in this game before. If it happens it'll be interesting how that plays out: Allies doomed scrambling for the other beaches or still perfectly fine with their many waves of units?

I'm no expert on Vassal but I looked into module information. The module is essentially a ZIP file for maps and counter definitions and scenario descriptions. If the counters are the same as the regular game, it might be pretty simple as just editing a scenario startup already in the module. If you need to make new counters, that's some scanning and inputtiing files.

In this case German units have the Americans ZOC bonded against the sea.

Fantastic video quality and prefer seeing the movement and decisions unfold. Seems to be getting rarer sadly but it's great to see someone actually playing the games. I need to finally get this to the table with the 80th anniversary of D-Day around the corner. Looking forward to the upcoming battles.

I appreciate the honesty! You had me in stitches as I've been saying similar things lately with the ridiculous amount of unplayed and still sealed games on the shelf. People are fooling themselves thinking they have the bandwidth having a grand 'ol time playing and remembering 1700 different game systems. It's all about less is more and quality time spent.

At 38.00 minutes this is wrong again If defender’s Lead Unit has a better Armor Rating than the best armor rating in the attacker’s MAF, then the defender receive a +1 DRM in his Determined Defense. If the attacker has no units with an Armor Rating in his MAF, the defender’s Lead unit still earns this modifier as long as it has a gray Armor Rating. The defender does not receive this DRM if his Lead Unit has a red Armor Rating and their are no Armored units in the attacker’s MAF. The least it can be is 0 there is no minus one offsetting the troop quality

At 27.05 thats not correct. Its the + or - on the TQ. There is no comparison or cancel out. Its whatever it says on the counter

I'm no expert on Vassal but I looked into module information. The module is essentially a ZIP file for maps and counter definitions and scenario descriptions.
