Interestingly Movie 35mm film is actually 18mm x 24mm wheras 35mm still film is 36mm x 24mm and Movie Film is exposed vertically so still film is known as 2 x Movie film because that is the difference in width and any perceived sharpness in Movie Images is simply because of the high speed frame rate when stopped an a still image taken from Movie Film it generally is far from sharp so Full frame is actually known as Double Frame for that reason wheras Crop sensor is closer to movie film size wise but he pros and cons come in two different areas depending on what useage requires which advantage for best results. Bigger pixels as with many full frame sensors will give better results in dynamic range and low light capabilities, But APSC sensors being a denser pixel substrate work better for longer shots because they often need to be blown up and cropped for say Bird Shots and the denser Pixels mean better results when cropped and blown up to size required for the subject. So there is more to it than just depth of field or perceived field of view because all that changes is the field of view not any lens magnification that is where peopl;e get confused. Just as the better 35mm film stocks were equivalent to having a 50 plus megapixel sensor in either a DSLR of Mirrorless Camera which to some extent explains why Pro level cameras such as Hasselblad have such high pixel count sensors it has taken a long time to get sensors equivalent to Film for detail and resolution and many simply are not but how we view or in the case of film develop our shots to view the image captured affects our perceptions of image quality. That is why so many are seeking out film cameras and many improvements have occurred in more modern film and processing methods these days compared to the past.

Thank You , Oksana , yr videos are so helpful . iv just gone a step up from a nikon d3300 to a nikon d5500 , and im finding im getting camera shake a lot more with my new camera. i shoot a lot on aperture priority mode a lot when walking round the streets,, as i cant change manual modes fast enough n miss shots, so this video came at just the right time for :) Thank , yr like the Angel from above :)

Nikon D5500 is a great camera. I have Nikon D5300. This is what you can try in Aperture Priority Mode to avoid camera shake. Go to Menu -> Shooting Menu (Camera Icon) - > ISO sensitivity settings -> Turn Auto ISO Sensitivity Control ON and set Minimum Shutter Speed to 1/60 sec (or what ever number you think will work to avoid camera shake). You can try 1/60 sec first and see of you get less images with camera shake. If you still have a lot of unsharp images, then try to set it to 1/125 sec. With those settings your ISO will be on auto (in the same menu you can also set maximum ISO, you are ok with) and your shutter speed wouldn't go slower then you set it.

Thank you for your useful information and you are always unique in making the comparison between different cases by showing the pictures' results to illustrate your idea. Small hint: in the example you have made at the end of your video, I assume you have increased the lense opening (apeature) to compensate the increase the of shutter speed, otherwise the picture light balance will not be good. Right ? Thank you and do not let us wait too long for the next video.

You are right. If you adjust one exposure component, you need to adjust others to get correct exposure. In my samples I adjusted ISO, since I didn't want Depth of Field to change, with a change of Aperture.

I hold my camera in my right hand for vertical shots. Just a matter of twisting my wrist around; though elbow is sticking out more, but is more comfortable for me. My Olympus OMD 5 micro 4/3 makes it really easy to maneuver too.

@@easyexposure I love its compactness and interchangeable lenses available. It's I.S. inbody works on 5 axis; I wish, however, that the megapixel count was greater than 20 m.p. I am waiting on a new Olympus 4/3, OM 5 rumored to be out later this year. Cheers!
