    Did you use this process for the whole face or just skin creases? TIA Beautiful work x❤

    but why you don‘t use the side of the tip for shading? i just don‘t understand how shading with the tip is possible, even when i do it with the flat tip, the lines are so thin and it just seems impossible to shade like this😞

    You confirmed the thing I came to the internet to confirm: "graphite doesn't get that dark" I am a watercolor artist and always felt like my pencil drawings could never achieve super dark

    I am also confused whether start with Charcoal or Graphite. I also most use graphite. How can we get more black in the shading?. Which one is best for shading to get the result of more black and smooth?

    If you are more used to draw with graphite, you could try some carbon pencils. My favorite is the Staedtler Mars Lumpograph Black. Charcoal can be tricky and requires a different approach ;)

    Thanks for the video really good but Please I have a question it is normal to apply graphite powder as base layer and Dem do the final process with charcoal powder is it gonna come out smooth and realistic

    Thank you! Well, you should try it yourself, but I don't think charcoal is going to attach to the paper after applying graphite. However, the contrary definitely works, that is, applying charcoal first and graphite later

    I tend to use graphite and charcoal together, and yes it is very messy, but if you want to achieve realism you have to work hard for it. Thankyou for this video, I enjoyed it.

    Hello. Can you tell me please do the same drawing techniques for skin texture and pores apply when drawing on toned tan paper. I understand that the tanned paper is the mid tone and white pencil is used for highlights, but suppose I wanted to apply some pores to the highlighted areas of a drawing? It's my understanding that you shouldn't apply graphite over white pencil to avoid getting a muddy look. Have you done a video about this, if so can you give me the link to it? Thank you.

  • @MacedoDrawings

  • @james_7978

    Graphite always has a shine to it, especially when you press harder. I just started using charcoal instead because it has no shine at all.

  • @MacedoDrawings
    @MacedoDrawings Жыл бұрын

    Hello, sorry for taking so long to answer... I suggest you use a matte fixative spray after you finish your drawing. It will dial down the graphite shine and that's what I use ;)

  • @MacedoDrawings

    Thank you! I chose charcoal for the rest of the piece because it's easy to blend it and work in mid tones :) Colored pencil would demand a different approach and would take a lot of time
