Well, I saw a local interview of Sanath Jayasuriya with Rex Clementine which was so interesting, wanted to see a similar one of Lara. I searched for and found this. Exactly same interviews of two of the greatests.

I saw Thommo bowl at Lords in 1975 against MCC. Walker opened the bowling with Lillee. Then Gilmour bowled. I was so disappointed. Finally, Thommo came on to bowl. His rhythm wasn’t quite right. He no-balled several times. But his speed was phenomenal. I was seated square of the wicket. Lillee had bowled quickly, the ball was just a red blur as it bounced and made its way into Marsh’s gloves. But when Thommo bowled, even though not quite at his best, I couldn’t see the ball at all. Marsh was standing about 10 meters further back to Thommo than he did to Lillee, and the ball was still climbing as he took the ball chest high. That’s how quick Tommo was before his shoulder injury and on slow English pitches.

Along with Joel ( big bird ) Garner , Michael ( whispering death) Holding was one of my two favourite bowlers.Gosh the mid 1970s & 1980s West Indies cricket team were fantastic from top to bottom. I think we were unbeaten in test series for over ten years. As the windbrush parents were still middle aged their was more of a love and link with our cricket team. I was lucky to see them at lords including 1975 World Cup final and the oval a couple of times . I have read Michael Holding fantastic book about life , why we kneel and how we rise. I believe the book should be studied in Caribbean and African American school and university classes .
