    Super video. Does same method and principles work for fishing too kit and 2 sections? Also I assume you don’t need any groundbait also?

  • @winningwaysbasics
    @winningwaysbasics6 күн бұрын

    It should work the same, just tailor it to your own venue, if its only 10 inches deep at a topkit then you'll want to fish a bit further.

    When do you know when to fish in the edge?

  • @winningwaysbasics
    @winningwaysbasics6 күн бұрын

    Time wise, normally 2pm onwards as a rough guide. But if the water is shallow enough, feed it and just keep an eye on it. You'll see signs like tails wafting or the water clouding up to tell you they're feeding.

    It gives you more control in the wind, also makes it easier to hit bites when there is less slack line. We've done a video about it here - kzread.info/dash/bejne/dqChk6eGm9PQes4.html

    Hi , first time I watch youre vid , gonna tell you my expieriance about carp fishing like you do. In belgium we do practicly the same, ( in competition situations)with this difference while where fishing ad 9 meters far for breme ,and EVERY 5 minits we trow a small hand of casters on the same spot on the side like you did . We fish without rubber (elastic) with a 20/00 line on annother rod as youre breme rod . And if we fish in the side for carp and the carp takes my bait we pull verry hard , we dont give the carp the chanse to make a run for it . If the carp managed to build up speed we try to unbalance the carp . And we pull every time to the opposite side he is swimming. If I stand up and puch my rod top a bit in the water the carp is gonna swim up . And once the carp took a breath from our air he loses 50% of his strength . So sommetimes like this we manages to catch carp of +20 pound. I hope you could understand me, my englisch writing is not verry good. see yah

    I got one after watching Andy pull in a catfish (Andy done a vid on it) absolutely a fantastic pole.. although a bit short for most snake lakes, everything else its a literal monster.. ive got a 23silk on a top kit it came with pulling 12lb carp out of lillie pads.. no problem ! Won't get that on the £2000 poles.. just saying !

    My entire fishing life when I have joined two lines together I have tied a blood knot in one go. Fiddly and frustrating. And I have just learnt that two half bloods do the same thing. Much easier to tie with the exact same result. Do I feel stupid....

    So to round it up! You need a good flat bottom, nice and clean preferably. No toss pot. Give them a good mouthful after each fish. But sneak it in👌

    Hi bud, can I just suggest something. When you wrap the line around the shank start wrapping in the opposite direction so the first wind isn't in the open gap of the eye, it may reduce some breakages. It probably won't matter on them tiddlers you catch but it might on proper fish. 🤣😂

    Andy i keep missing sail away bites on meat ,they turned out to be small fish how can i get them to leave the meat alone ,,even the perch want a piece 😮

  • @glitchyhitchy1811

    I dont even think Andy or the fast talking bloke has the knowledge to speak to smaller fish and ask them to leave bait alone buddy.. try larger hook or large piece of meat or just catch them, eventually the big wobbly ones will bully way in 😂

    I do you keep accurate with your feeding? Im not to bad with the pole tip out there, but I've no chance of hitting the spot blind [without the pole tip to aim for] and how long do you really need to go to fish shallow? Thanks

  • @winningwaysbasics
    @winningwaysbasics21 күн бұрын

    Have a far bank marker to aim for and then it’s just muscle memory and using the same catapult all the time. It’s never going to be quite as accurate when you’re not fishing it, but you can tighten it up when you’ve got the pole out. Distance wise it depends if it’s a match. 13m is a good starting point but if you are in a match and everyone’s fishing further then you might need to go longer. But a pleasure session you could get away with fishing shorter and more comfortably.
