South Central Kentucky creek beds are lined with geodes, agates, fossils, and many other interesting geological artifacts. It is my pleasure to put on display some of the most beautiful and interesting specimens I have found. I hope you find them as fascinating as I do.

Looks more like a jurrasic age fossil fruit with petrified seeds in it.
lol
Good one
Thanks
Nice one. Love the little double terms that come out.
Me too!
Another sweet one!
Thanks! That one I found just sitting in the grass ... I didn't have to dig the littlest bit.
Oh I love that one! Wish I could find one like that! Very nice!
This was my favorite find from my Mother's Day hunt.
Just love that sound
Me too!
Heck I think I would probably have a full bucket or backpack before making it to the creek. Lol
It was deer blowing at ya. It winded you. At approximately 23:00
Yeah I need to go with ya to that creek. That red botryoidal piece you picked up was awesome. I would love to find some geodes like that!
Love that one at 37:20
38:24 top left of the screen the blackish blue botryoidal piece! I want it! Lol
I was wondering what that was. Good to know that was a deer ... I thought it was a bird😂
Lol looks like Frozen Corn😮
Everybody loves corn😂
That should be cut and polished!
I definitely plan on polishing! I'll post the results.
Get a wet saw
That would take all the fun out of it :)

You need some decent tools and support to do this more efficiently. Ask a stonemason for advice .
Thanks for the suggestion, but I enjoy craking them this way.
I started putting all the loose little crystals in a baggie and I plan on getting some little bottles to put the in and add them to giveaways.
Me too. I need to come up with a tagging system to store the loose crystals with their associated halves without getting them mixed up. How are you setting up your giveaways?
@@KentuckyCrystals did one at 100 subs,250, next at 500. Plus we have done some random ones like the this one we’re doing now. This latest is for our 1 yr anniversary on KZread.
Pretty one
Thanks!
if you fill a pair of tube socks with sand and tie off the top and wrap them around to base of the rock, you can hold the rocks a little steadier and put a piece of hard foam rubber under the rock it will be easier to crack
Thanks for the suggestion.
Love the 🎶 music and your gloves❤
Thanks!
How long does it take????😂
It depends on the geode. Some are harder than others. On average a couple minutes, but at the extremes a few seconds on the short end and 10 minutes on the long end.
You're tickling that poor rock. Plant you chisel and swing hard from the shoulder. Don't let your elbow bend. Nice geode.
Thanks, I think so too.
very cool! subscribed!
Thanks!
I love these corn recipes!
Me too!!
It looks like a poison to me
poison?
I have this ston
Did you break it?
It looks like cornnnnn
Yeah
Lol it kinda does. Watch the full video I'll be posting tomorrow and you'll see them cleaned ... they're actually clear
Corn
They kinda do look like corn😂 But ... watch the full video when I publish it tomorrow and you'll see that after the crystals are cleaned of the dust they are clear quartz.
Cool
Thanks!
Gorgeous specimen! Aqua Donkey Prospecting approved!
Thanks!
👍🏾
☺️
Nice work 💜
Thanks 😄
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!
I have a really big one the size of soccer ball, fairly smooth white quartz. don't want to take chance cracking it, so i began sawing it with a tungsten carbide hacksaw. I'll get back to you in ten years or so.
😂 That hilarious!
Where do you find these?
Some just on my property and others in the surrounding creek beds here in south central Kentucky.
Rock saw
Thanks for the suggetion, but I like finding the natural break lines of the rocks and the variation that results plus I wont slice any crystals attached to the cavity walls ... I'm a primitive kind a gal
Надо было подождать ещё пару миллионов лет увидел бы красивые кристаллы! Поспешил разрубить наверное руки некуда применить!
I think the anticipation of what may be inside and the experience of opening them makes the potential disappointment worth while.
0:17 😢
Why the sad face?
❤
Thanks Lady!
Very nice
Thanks
👍👍👍🥰👍
🤗
I have quit a few! What does it mean if they have multi color veins on the outside? And one is perfectly circular! I call it my dinosaur egg! 🦕 I can't bear to break em open!
Multi color veins on the outside is a good indication there may be some banded agate on the inside. If you shake them and you can't hear crystals rattling around on the inside their is no guarantee it will have a hollow cavity; it may or may not. But ... they still may be really beautiful on the inside. Without a cavity they also may be harder to break with a hammer and chisel. I'd say if curiosity hasn't gotten the better of you and you find them beautiful and intriguing as they are enjoy them just that way!
where do you find those?
I find them in the creek beds near my home. There are several counties in Kentucky (Lincoln, Estil, Rockcastle) known for an abundance of geodes from the limestone formation they rest on.
Hit it with your purse😂😂😂
I would but someone stole it and only left me with a hammer and chisel
Nice, lost mine few years ago to an exgf, lol! No joint custody wanted, whew!
Had you already broken it open? if so, why didn't you split it?
Do you really know,I mean, do you even have a clue as to what you have there.
I don't understand your question. Are you referring to the mineral inside of the geode?
Was meinst du denn? What do you think he's got there?
i love this video, so satisfying
Im so glad you liked it!
Pocket full of happiness and sunshine 🥰
Indeed!
Salt and pepper
The crystals do look a bit like salt and pepper.
Awesome, looks like billowing flames from a raging inferno.
I like your analogy.
Nice❤
Thanks 🔥
Bonita piedra
gracias
The geo has Indian markings and pictures on it
That's interesting. I hadn't noticed. Describe one so I can try and see it too.
Beautiful!❤🎉🎉❤
Thanks! I think it's a beautiful specimen too!
