I can afford an expensive car I just don’t want to.
With features like these, why would you? I don’t disagree!
Got me a base 2023 with factory sti shifter for 32k out the door. I’d argue the base is the most “tuner ready”.
In the classic sense? 100%
Love this being a manual!
Agreed!
That how Honda will lose their mojo
That's a pretty expensive ticking time bomb.
It’s not the 3.3, I have a bit more confidence in the 2.4T’s longevity
Nope
Better trade that garbage in before the turbo goes out $$$$$$
Been driving an sti for 12yrs on same tubo...not a single problem. And i trust toyota waay more than subaru
What needs to be shut off to take into an automated Car Wash? My wife’s Mazda CX-90 just stopped in the car wash. Have to turn off a couple collision braking things. Luckily it’s a button rather than going into the gauge settings menu. Somewhere i saw could maybe hold down traction control button 3 seconds or something?
Road noise is no issue for me. That's what the ELS 16 speaker system is for.

Since its stated that the motor has been detuned on the manual transmission, how much Hp/Tq does one lose with the manual transmission vs the automatic transmission?
Great question Benny Automatic: 278HP / 317TQ Manual: 270HP/310TQ So a difference of 8 HP and 7 TQ.
@@MoneyShift Have you driven both to notice the difference?
They behave VERY similarly. Only real difference you notice is the higher redline on the automatic
*congratulations* ❤🎉
We appreciate you reviewing / owning the manual.
I would like to hear someone talk about the potential financial difference of owning a turbo vs NA. I understand that a turbocharged engine on average won’t last as long as a non turbo without having problems. But the real question, that I see absolutely nobody talk about, is what is the cost? If a new turbo costs let’s say $1500, and needs to be replaced after 100-150,000 miles, is that really so bad? $1500 today is nothing more than a few tanks of gas.
Toyota tacoma para Marco Aurelio
could you tow with your tacoma. be interesting to see what you think about towing with a manual
Congrats on the kid as well! And thank you for picking the manual version- highly tempting to pickup instead of the automatic. Except no 6 foot bed in manual…
Congrats on the Kid. It's the best thing.
By the way congratulations on the youngster
So you saying the instrument cluster isn’t dimmable and same with the center screen. That stinks, man thats alot of light n a guys face driving at night. Nice video though, i really liked your reveiw on the 6speed manual. For future content i would suggest showing how well a 4x8 of plywood fits n the bed.
I’m gonna get some hate for this but I drove one at a dealership. It drives a lot nice than the 3rd gen. Smoother and the engine feels more powerful. Same horse power though.
Could not agree more.
Huge mistake making it look like a mini tundra
You think so? I think it looks handsome.
Got mines for 26,450 out the door. so far so good
I didnt understand your math. Are you saying the type s is in line with what the integra type r would be in inflation adjusted dollars today or is 6k over what the integra type r would be today?
In 2000 the Integra Type R retailed for $24,830. Adjusted for inflation that number is $46,600. What I am saying is that when Acura was initially developing this vehicle they were shooting for $46,000 price. Development of cars takes years, and in those years inflation ran rampant, unusually so, and Acura adjusted accordingly. 2021 > 2024 $46,000 adjusts to 52,000 and presto you get the price. That’s my math.
hello i’m the one in the purple 240! haha
Oh Shit Waddup!!! Sounded AWESOME
Just wanted to ask how the truck is going. I’ve been hearing about transmission issues as of late. Any issues to report with the truck?
Funny you should ask, got a 4,100 mile video uploading as we speak. But in lieu of you watching that, I have not had any issues with the drivetrain of the truck. It’s been solid.
@@MoneyShift Great, thanks for the reply. I got mine arriving this week. Fingers crossed she's going to be a good machine.
Enjoy it in good health! You’re going to love it
Excellent review! I've seen a ton of Sentra reviews, even from big name KZreadrs. I'll say this, you're the only one that mentioned Nissan's CVT are more reliable than they were in the past, and fixed that issue. You also stated getting the car serviced every 30,000 miles, others didn't really mention. Most said "lifetime powertrain" warranty is included. Another key thing you touched on was how the CVT is very smooth and doesn't make that annoying whining noise as I call it. You're absolutely correct. I test drove one a few days ago just for fun. I have a 2018 Sentra SR and I can tell you even in park that whine is annoying. Fun fact : If you look the number of national sales between the 2024 Altima and Sentra, sales declined for Altima purchases, while Sentra is the top purchased car between the 2. If you think about it, it's a tad smaller than the Altima with a smaller engine and fuel tank.
Thanks for the kind words Michael I do appreciate it.
I bought the gun metallic SR Premium last month with the black wheels, coming from a 2016 Altima SR. My Altima wasn't fully loaded. Space inside the Sentra and trunk is almost the same size as the Altima. Great commuter, rides smooth, and excellent on gas. I can get a full tank with $25-$30 with a 400+ mile range. Can't beat that! I got mine for almost $25,000 even. You can get them a couple thousand cheaper now. I'm beginning to see more 2024 Sentras and Versas on the roads now. What's crazy is that the Premium Sentra comes more equipped than the highest Altima trim. You forgot the SOS (911) call button. BTW, the CVT is newer Nissan's are very reliable compared to many years ago and hardly any issues. My old 2016 Altima with 133,000 miles never had CVT issues because I followed all maintenance schedules. Back then CVT first fliuid change was a 55,000-60,0000 miles. Another key is driving any car with a CVT with care, and not gassing it and driving it like it's a race car.
I got mine recently for 25,200. It's a pretty decent car. Sucks to hear that they are selling for a lot cheaper now.
I like simple cars because it's doesn't break down and easy to repair Honda=ford simple 2door trucks
Totally get that, everything is this car felt familiar.
Yesss I love mines.
As you should!
I would get it as a lease for daily ride with a Premium trim.
I hear that, could be a great option!
It doesn't lease well. The rates are higher than financing it for the same amount of time.
31 yr old here, just got my RX350 3weeks ago. I weighed heavily between Volvo xc90 and Lexus. Lexus won of course and this has by far been the best decision.
It is a tremendous machine. With less complexity than the Volvo while giving you the same features, it makes sense to me. Congrats and enjoy it in good health!
Emission controls complexity, cost, and lack of reliability has killed diesel.
Wild to see it in real time, good points Martin.
I own 2024 tacoma with manual transmission and it shifts smooth as silk. Plenty of power. Also tacoma handles and turns very tight & solid . By far the best manual transmission i have ever driven.
Agreed! It truly is a great transmission!
I would get the sv premium becsuse you can get the bose audio in thst now compared to before yoi couldnt and the diomand quilted leather is nice.
Deff gonna do this
Hell ya! Hope the video/other videos I have on this Bronco helped!
Yeah but its ugly af
The new corvettes perform well just I think they look tacky. If I had the money to burn on expensive sports car last thing I would choose is a corvette.
What would you choose?
I might very missed it but can you completely turn off all the assists and just drive the truck? I know it's a little odd these days but I like to pay attention and actually drive my vehicles😂
I never understood brand loyalty. The best value for the money is all I'm loyal to.
As it should be ✅
My FX4 have sport mode
Outstanding vids on the 2024 Tacoma. Very helpful to see reviews that are more than the usual walk arounds. Having had a 5 speed 1999 Dakota your demonstrations really helped to understand the technical improvements in this new truck. Thanks!
I bought a 2023 Sport 4x4. Had it for 2 days and did a crazy thing. I didn’t like the driving experience and decided to test drive the new 2024. Man I decided to trade in the 2 days purchase and got the new 2024. The driving has no hesitation, no stiffness bumping and it’s so smooth. I mean I don’t know If I got a bad lemon with that 2023 but it is incomparable how better driving is the 2024. Some inputs will help me understand what happened but I did that and felt a relief after.
I don't even have to watch the whole video to say, no it's probably not 😂
To your credit the SV or base model does come well equipped as well
Correct. Even other top car brands base cars aren't well equipped including some of their mid level trims. That says something.
It's kinda wild that my 2020 F150 with a 5.0 V8 got roughly the same highway fuel economy as this new Tacoma.
You missed a solid opportunity to to use a decibel reader and snag some ratings
Always improving, thanks for the suggestion!
2 bad it's 20K to expensive. 👎
There is no realistic world where this would cost 38,000.
@@MoneyShift There's no reality where I'd pay 58K for small truck. That's Raptor price from 10 years ago.
