Hey :) I’m Christian Schaffer, and I’ve lived on the road full-time since May 2018. This journey began in 2013 when I left the corporate world to build my career as an outdoor adventure & travel photographer. After 14 months of SUV living - I bought the van I now call home. Van life enables me to experience and document the beauty of our natural world, while also having my home and office nearby. My hope is that by sharing my own personal highs and lows along this (sometimes) wild journey, you might be inspired to hit the road or spend more time outdoors. I just returned a camera that looks as bulky and useless as the one you're holding in your thumbnail pic. The iPhone is just as good as any of the bulky Canon's I just purchased and returned. But you're still sexy.
Just getting used to public toilets is a pain. No one will let you park when you live in your car. When you lose your place to live, the first night of living in your car/truck is realizing that you have no place to land. You drive and drive and drive. Then it hits you. You know you finally used that cassette toilet for number two! Lol

Please call 911 whenever you are stalked one time do not play with your life. Report all suspicious activity around your home. If people creepily invade your space break out the Wasp spray which shoots about 25 feet making even bears question their next move. Hippo Birdie.

The photography/music in your work reminds me of The Tao Te Ching. Nature is so inspiring, the stillness, the fog has a spiritual quality to it. To place yourself in nature while pondering life’s possibilities is quite the gift.

Sorry you experienced that weirdo. My ex girlfriend Natalie, literally wouldn't go away, despite an amicable friendly split, she couldn't eccept the fact I had moved on with another woman. After the split I was single for 2 years, it's not like we broke up and next day I met someone else. Even after 2 years I met someone and my ex had an issue with it 😳 Then started the letters and stalking, she was following both of us everywhere. It was turning into something scary out of a movie. After some scary and bizzar sequence of events, Natalie was eventually arrested, she's now doing 7 years for harassment stalking damaging property and theft and injuring an elderly man. Now we worry what's going to happen when this psychotic bytch is released 😳 You think you know someone and I was with her for 4 years she showed NO sign of psychotic behaviour. Alison and I moving overseas to get far from Natalie we KNOW how messed up she is and she WILL come after us when she gets out, she made that CRYSTAL clear...Yeah freaky shyte. Alison and I won't let her ruin our happiness 😎

Cool work station for your van, totally agree on the starlink too. After 3 years living in my van I haven't really felt a huge need for it. I've got my own wifi in the van wherever there's cell signal and if there's no cell signal then I should be out enjoying nature anyways lol

Greetings, some of this video was very funny! Anyway when the worst thing happens, in a way it sets you free. I was at a park in Maricopa and a dude (stranger)came out of no where and freaking started yelling and threatening (my daughter and I)and I ended up spraying the dude with 25 ft foam wasp spray I happened to have and it took a minute but it took dude down and when the cops got there he had to be treated by the paramedics and I was spraying him while being chased. What would you do? The answer is what ever you have to. Nov, 2023 Maricopa, Az dude was buzzed off in the news report of the incident. It’s a crazy world but it was before this happened and after and I am still out here. A tiny bit empowered. ❤
All the stormy ocean footage, the nature without the people is my jam! I could watch that stuff while I'm working all day so if you like doing those kind of asmr type videos I personally love it
