8:41 Translated from an Artist/Lifestyle online Magazin (Kessel) into english: The Stuttgart street/urban artist Erik Sturm, also known as Wasser(water) or Eiche(Oak), along with his Berlin colleague Simon Jung (Artist name Saimen), spent four intense days painting an abandoned residential building in Stuttgart-Möhringen black. And no, we're not just talking about the facade, but the ENTIRE house from the foundation to the gable, over the windows and roof tiles, even the antenna (and no, the photo was NOT photoshopped!). 500 liters (132 gallons) of paint were used for this urban artwork - Erik commented: “By blackening the building, it becomes anonymized and simultaneously gains a model-like character. Particularly fascinating is the change in the perception of the object under different lighting conditions. At night, the building seems to disappear at first glance, blending into the darkness.” . First time I see it. I thoght, c´mon this must be from the Miniature Wunderland in Hamburg, but no. This house exist for real.

A manual car is generally much lighter than its automatic cousin. The driver is in charge, too, making the manual first choice for those who enjoy driving for driving's sake. A nifty manual gearchange can be made whilst an automatic is still thinking about it.

14.04 - IMO its a frigde. Lots of those build in turf or bricks are still in use in Poland actualy. But most likely for gardening tools, fruits from orchards wintering, or home made pickles and jams, or even fruit wine.

Your pronounciations are actually pretty darn good, even the mispelled "Weisbaden" (correct: Wiesbaden) - you spoke it according to the mispelling. 😄👍

We actually have two surfing waves in Munich. This one is on the Eisbach right next to the Haus der Kunst (art museum) in the center of the city at the southern end of the Englischer Garten (the big central park). We also have shops for surf gear and anything else you might need. You sometimes see people with surfboards on public transport or bicycles with surfboard racks...😅

manual r a lot cheaper to run and faster than automatic. Automatics r on average about 20mph slower than manual and drink fuel a lot faster. The SAAB 9000 2litre straight 4 eco power i had was automatic as im disabled and couldnt use the clutch without my knee cap popping out of its socket. that was 20mph slower than the manual version and only got 70MPG compared to 90MPG in the manual. Noticed it in my old volvo 760 2.8 V6 as well. 1st 1 was manual but replaced it with an automatic and found the auto was slower and used more fuel.

11.11 - I have this kind of thing in my garden. But apparently these wild polinators never wanted to inhabit this structure I've bought in a gardening market. They prefer my own invention - a big, leaky, copper vase I stuck between the branches of old apple-tree covered in summer with pipe vine :)

Rain snow sunny or windy nothing stops us Europeans from getting around our business especially those on bicycles and scooters. Now most people in Europe are referring to take these kinds of transport or public transportation in whatever weather instead of taking cars. Most households own two cars but yet owns other alternatives like bicycles and prefer to use them for everyday needs and only use their cars for long range traveling(. Sometimes even for that we take buses or trains) or monthly stocking up of household needs. I know this because my family and most of my neighbors do the same. It’s economical and ecological ( need to think of preserving our planet)

A few years back I spent a couple of months travelling around northern and western Europe (including UK/Ireland) over winter. I loved it although sadly only got two or three proper snow days. The biggest snowstorm I saw was in Amsterdam. The next morning was beautiful and sunny but the snow on the ground had iced over. I remember walking around having to try really hard not to fall over. I was wondering what techniques the locals had for dealing with this only to look around and see that everyone else was having the same problem.

"like a cloud" and "liquid gold" 🤣 I like that! Because for me as a German, I can definitely relate, those were the exact same words in German of cause, that came out of my mouth so many times! Beer is not for getting drunk. This is a symphony. And each beer and every brand in it's own way! That is what makes the Reinheitsgebot special, because everyone has to use the same ingredients and it is so different for everyone. But no matter what you prefer, it is awesome. 😊😊

Amber side markers are visually cluttering for me, as they can look as an indicator at a first glance. Also, I don't like indicators on the mirrors, mostly because they sit too high and aren't always that bright. Just mount them on the front fender somewhere as they used to.

The Netherlands are maybe the European country that get least snow, you really should be looking at Finland or Sweden, Like in the US, we have chosen our mode of transport, and stick to it, although, in rain and heavy winds, the busses might be extra full.

Depending on where you're at in Germany, the occasional summer storms bring in some really bad weather and cold temperatures. Hail is usually a sign of tornado warnings. Germany, and I think closly following the Czech Republic are the tornado hot spots in Europe. I had the pleasure of an F3 tornado going over my garage. And of course the pleasure of doing the roofing two weeks later whilst it being 35°C / 95°F. *sigh* Good times, gooood times. The video you saw was in my hometown, Paderborn. The video was filmed about 350 feet away from my garage.

Dutchie here who cycled 20kms per day thru all weather.. in the winter, esp with snow, I just deflate my tires.. esp in the snow.. it helps with traction a bunch. Also trying to stay in the lines of the previous cyclists helps - once the snow gets hard -.

Hope you noted the VERY LARGE parking spaces reserved for women. You could safely park any HUGE US pickup truck and have much free space all round for door opening without adjacent vehicles at risk. Even those in habit of parking filling two car bays would be able to stay within the boundary, or park at an angle even. Small compact cars, common in Europe could almost do a U-turn in those spaces. It is not camera lens distortion, see the background normal parking locations....

The only time I got in trouble was riding my Puch Skytrack through about 20cm of sticking fresh snow (we call it 'paksneeuw' and it is probably unfamiliar to anyone younger than 20-25 here in NL because we don't get snow like we used to). I was riding my moped slowly alongside a friend on a bike when all of a sudden my front wheel locked up and I went down like a brick. The snow had accumulated between the front wheel and the chrome wheel cover that was about half an inch above the wheel. It just locked up. Luckily I fell into 20cm of soft snow :) You (might not) know what they say: "every disadvantage has its advantage" (Johan Cruijff, Dutch football legend and philosopher)

Livraria Lello is one of Porto's most emblematic neo-Gothic buildings. For years, the Lello staircases were also considered locally to be the supposed inspiration for the bookshop where Harry Potter met Gilderoy Lockhart in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, as J.K. Rowling once lived in the city of Porto. However, in May 2020, J.K. Rowling denied this alleged inspiration, stating that she never entered the bookshop.

I used to ride my bicycle to the school bus way back when I was a teen 35+ years ago (Before you were born, I guess), on half-an-inch of snow on a farm road. Biking in the snow wasn't much of a problem, actually, not even going down and up a pair of rather steep hills. The paved part of the distance to the bus stop was the worst. Even doing walking speed next to the other kids, I still took a 180 if I pulsed the rear brake. I never understood why the other kids around didn't ride their bikes in the winter. My reason for doing it was that it was simply too far to walk, and unless the ice on the lake was safe, I couldn't cross the lake either. Not that I liked ending up getting on the bus at the next stop either.
