  The aftermarket wiring harness does not use the extra harness that the amp and sub is connected to so no need to bypass any of those. The aftermarket amplifier will power the speakers and aftermarket sub.

  Awesome video Can Toby!! My question is, are you using a capacitor so that your battery does not drain? I am a recent 2004 Honda Pilot owner ( a day ago ), and like to install my after market system in it from my '97 BMW. Thank You in advance.

  No I got the capacitor because the subwoofer was drawing a lot of power and the mid range speakers volume would dip. I have a high amp alternator so battery drain is not an issue for me. Check out my other video with the sound system upgrade which made things a lot better.

  that's why installers charge what they charge to run wires to an amp under a seat. always easier to pull the seats and then run wire, so that it makes it easier to remove any side panels that are in the way, instead of fighting with lifting seats. make sure you unplug the battery, if yo remove seats, in case they have air bags.

  I got an aftermarket harness from Amazon and just used that. Less of a headache. Or are you planning on using the stock radio instead of an aftermarket one?

  I have the same car and I’m having the same problem there’s too much bass and my speakers sound like there going out and it’s driving me crazy ! Should i do the same ? I don’t want those big speaker boxes in my “trunk” though because id like to keep the little space I have

  I only found the one ground. I see the second run from positive battery to alt but it snakes all the way around and I lose sight. Do you think the dealership would do the upgrade ?

  Take a look at the video again and you will notice where the the grounds are that I upgraded. Follow the wire from the alternator. It only goes up to the fuse box. You have to get a second wire from the fuse box to the battery. I'm not sure if a dealership might be able to do the upgrade but it doesn't hurt to try and see.

  Yes both of them go to the fuse box. One wire goes from the alternator to the fuse box and the other wire goes from the fuse box to the battery

  No. All of the wires that I used were all 0 gauge wires. The 4 gauge wires you see is for the sound system and for the starter motor

  with the amp under the seat can you still fold the seat down?

  I have no need to put the seat down which is why I placed them there or I would have installed them in another location such as under the front passenger seat.

  you could've sliced a small line in the boot on left side , not a specialist but is that even safe having a wire that close to the accelerator . as for the back up camera run it on the linen of the roof come out thru the back hatch where the other reverse lights wires are there's a sleeve there try running it thru there

  The power wire may look like it's obstructing the accelerator pedal but there's some clearance between the wire and all travels of the pedal. With regards to the back up camera, the sleeve doesn't have enough space for the end of the video cable hence the reason why I had to run it like that. Tried to push it through the sleeve unsuccessfully lol.

  @@ArlandoToby kzread.info/dash/bejne/lYqftLyjc7Cchso.html this is my 05 pilot , I had just bought an 06 yesterday I wanted to find better ideas that's how I found your video . if you watch mine you'll see how I did my camera at about 2:12 mark but its a pain so I'm going to try wireless transmitter I've used it before but it was 2.4hz wasn't great now I ordered 5.8hz hopefully better signal

  @@uptownsfinest1598 initially I had installed a wireless kit but it was giving me too much issues and I already had the wired kit on hand so I just went that route. Hopefully the 5.8 GHz kit works for you

  It's a Chinese branded I bought on Amazon. It's universal so it will work in any double din slot.

  The unit had to be flush fitted to the panel because there was no way to screw it into the existing holes for the stock radio. I used some silicone to hold it in place into the panel.
