    U don’t need an alignment shop to do a toe alignment on the rear, you can’t adjust camber so just measure the rear toe and get the wheels straight

    Hi i have a 2014 aqua, seems systems are similar. Is it possible to change the radiator coolant without changing the inverter coolant. Are they the same liquid?

    I have a 2016 VW Golf MK7 1.8t manual that is getting close to nine years old that has had zero failures so far while running a stage one tune too. No oil usage and even the stock clutch is holding the increased power. I bought the car new for $17,830 including tax and license, so if it blew up today I still made out very well.

    how smart ya gotta be to put a pin in the engine stand so the motor doesn't keep spinning when he was trying to break head bolts loose. then using a screwdriver to pry apart the cam carriers from head then again prying the head off block. smh

    I know this video is 3y old but I have these for my 350z and neither seats slide, would it be binding? And would prying it like you did on the brackets possibly fix my issue?

  • @MarkMethods
    @MarkMethods4 ай бұрын

    If it's binding, more than likely there is a slight alignment issue with the tracks and the base of the seat. Try loosening the bolts to the floor and shift the seat back and forth then left and right. See if you can move it then by sitting. Tighten the bolts again and it should be fine.

    Really struggling with those rod bolts 😅 I find it easier to break the bolts if you pull towards yourself so you can brace the engine against your body. Especially when on an engine stand with wheels.

    Any updates on your oil consumption?

  • @MarkMethods
    @MarkMethods4 ай бұрын

    I started using a high mileage synthetic at 80k, seems the consumption has slowed significantly; mobil1 extended performance high mileage 0-20. I have been using the full 5 quart bottle each time and the dipstick is a hair over full but when I go to drain it's barely below the top line.

    My 2024 has a lifetime warranty, but you have to go to the dealer for oil changes or it’s void of the warranty.

    Thank you for the video! FYI it is possible to drain and refill both the engine and inverter coolant without removing plastic underbody panels. I don’t think I had to remove any undercarriage plastic bits. Tried to remove one but one bolt head was very rusted so I just reached from the bottom/top of the car to do it all. It took a bit of contorting and I had to wiggle the engine drain petcock to get it unstuck after 10 years of Ohio winters, but I got it open after some twisting and pulling. I was confused why the engine coolant wasn't draining at first until i realized I didn't open the pressurized metal coolant cap. Instead of removing the coolant reservoir hose, I used a hand pump to empty the reservoir. The coolant I used was Walmart Super Tech OE Red Antifreeze Prediluted 50/50, $11.83/gallon.

    thanks man. I was about to take the vice grips to mine and pull with both arms but I decided to read comments and see what I could find. After removing the metal pin, I was pulling it with at least 50 pounds of force and it just would NOT come out. So I did about 10 minutes of little twists and wiggles because I could feel it was very stiff but loosening up nicely. Eventually it just popped right out like a cork on its own and started draining!.

    @@SidicasGlad I could help! I was definitely tempted to channel My frustration into it, but I'm glad I resisted and avoided causing a worse problem. Hopefully the next time we have to do it it will be a little bit easier. It reminds me of my recent wisdom tooth removal experience, actually..

    There are 2 different Subaru oil filters. The black one that ships on the car from the factory is extremely high quality, but are only in Japan. The Subaru filters in America are blue and are very cheaply made. A lot of Subaru people will import the Japanese filters for this reason.

    Thank you for some helpful content. Last time I sent the car to the shop around 100,000 for the transmission fluid chance and it was like $275 dollars. I’m going to do this myself . Anyone here did it and got good results? I’m always scared of damaging the transmission by changing the fluid.
