I’d like to see him finish the process with the miter joints. What will happen when he carries the rectangle around? I feel pretty sure I can do that rebate, but I don’t think I understand what the instruction that he’s giving me for the mitre. ‘ be magic like me’. doesn’t really sound like him. .

Hi Paul. I bought an old Stanley No. 4 from ebay. I tried plaining w/ my left hand once and it slipped and cracked the sole. So I bought a Stanley No. 5 figuring I might be able to do some jointing. But for both of these planes I find that the tote is too short and crimps my larger hands. Possible to make a tote that is taller for these planes?

Hello Paul. Fan of yours for several years. What is your take on Rob Cosman‘s most recent method of making dovetails? I must be brain damaged, I can’t make good dovetails either your way or Rob’s way. I’ve got all the right tools as well.

That's why you need push saws... You can really put in the torque with a push saw that you can't with a pull saw.

Hopefully the coward that attacked you wasn't someone that didn't belong in your country. The new generation is a bunch of losers that can't support themselves and have absolutely nothing to offer to the human race. Glad your getting better and hope you never run into problems again.

I love my little English stanley 60 1/2, its' narrow body is great for small work and fits my hand well. I do use a no.3 or 4 for work of a bigger scale.

I purchased one of these. I expected it to come rough. I flattened the soul, sharped the blade, trued the blade seat, smoothed the rough adjuster flanges, sharpened the cap iron due to jamming. It was beyond repair. The cap iron does not span the gap and is able to turn all the way sideways past the ears in both directions. The blade seat is too wide allowing the blade to move side to side while working, the adjusters are aluminum and are damaged every time its used by grooving the flange and not allowing for remotely fine adjustment, random major changes in cut depth. I got a bad one or the people now manufacturing them have given up entirely. There is no reason to spend money on Stanley anymore when there are far better companies making far more precise and reliable products for the same price. - Miserable in Missouri... NO MORE STANLEY!

I just watched a Red Krueger video that gave you credit and a report of being injured. I have been a vocational school trained Woodworker for 58 years and your videos have always given me more skill sets. No matter your education or experience, your videos will always share improvements or altogether better ways to accomplish the task in hand. By the end of this video you are back and I sincerely hope you stay that way. I'll be watching more videos the next month as I just broke both wrists playing pickleball. Keep them coming. I need the company:)
