  Are you working this week? If so were you tied up at the Salt pier? I saw in the morning a McGallister tug there then later in the day a 2nd, When I left work there was 3 Tugs tied up.1 Looked like the Brian.

  I've got to check out Danials isand. When I ran the old Charlestowne Princess harbor tours. Danial island was all dredge spoil piped onto land. Along with development plans. It would be worth the trip to see the changes. While in deytons shipyard with Schooner Pride we took a small skiff over to Danials isl. where we netted blue crabs for lunch after thee coats of antifoul. Thank you Willy for reuniting a retired Captain(got my original 100T Master near coastal aux/sail endorsement at Tradd st Coast Gaurd station) you are my replacement shit hot Captain of these days. I'm impressed with your shiphandling skills. If I ever get back down to there, I would like to meet you. Thanks alot Skipper, yours Retired Master near Clemson S. C.

  Good video about going on hitch! I stumbled upon your channel last week and have enjoyed seeing you share the perspective of working on a tug with us internet strangers. I am from Oklahoma and am still currently here, but my family and I are hoping to relocate to Upstate or Western New York this year, and I'm excited to see some tugs up there, whether it be in NYC or on the St. Lawrence Seaway. I always liked tugboats growing up, but being landlocked, have never been around them. Closest we get over here are the towboats pushing barges on the rivers. I am curious, you said you fly out to go on hitch; where do you have to fly to? I had assumed that you guys worked out of Staten Island. I worked for the oilfield division of Kirby Corporation here in Oklahoma, but I worked with some guys on the offshore marine side that were based in Staten Island. Super nice and super intelligent people. Thank you again for sharing with us!

  McAllister is not an easy company to even get to as entry level. It's a shame they are not willing to hire despite the act I have all my entry level STCW requirements, along with VSO, Radar Observer, RFPNW, both basic and advanced firefighting, GMDSS, lifeboatman, and ship construction/basic stability.

  I mean they have a full compliment of crew alrddy, they are always looking for engineers and office staff but they cant constantly be hiring for boat crew they only have a set number of boats and ofc they want to keep crews together that they know an trust an work well as teams I'm sure they will only hire if its absolutely the last resort

  The same amount of power. Just depends on what the tide is doing and how big the ship is. Sometimes you have to use more

  Was great to see the slight touch of your controls (engines, winches and helm) co-ordinate with the skippers on radio in keeping ultimate control over the entire manouvere here something I have never seen before. Looks like a nice tug boat but I am wondering if you have a helm control in each hand? Thanks for letting us know what goes on the cockpit of a Tug.
