i like a lot of the information he give, i was diablo player from diablo 1 and i think i am more hype for poe2 than anything diablo related a this point !
There is so many things that I disagree about Jay Wilson said over the years, that I can't even count (I'm pretty sure I watched all his interviews and read his posts on bnet). Honestly I think he was just the wrong person for the job and he totally failed in his leadership position. I'm no game designer, but I'm a senior backend developer. Based on what I know the issue with Diablo 3 was that it failed in every technical level on top of failing as a game in general. Never mind legendaries drop rates, what about Black weapon bug? A medior dev should of catched that in alpha phase with a few unit tests. For a game that has real money auction house, the engine especially the netcode was childishly amateur. Login issues, rubberbanding, lag, DCs, terrible performance (especially on AMD), duping, authenticator bypass?! They didn't even encrypt the game memory, it was trivial to write bots/hacks for the game. The player had no idea how a skill actually works, because of the hidden Proc Rates, it's insane that they tried to hide it. How can you even QA test the game if you don't even know those numbers? The answer is you don't. He approved the release of a game that somehow costed 140 million dollar without the followings: Unit test, QA test, Security Audit, Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing, Threat Modelling.

Scxanth needs to watch Arcane. I am not a big League of Legends fan but Arcane made me a huge fan of their lore. I think Arcane was one of the best Animated shows I've ever seen. Arcane alone got me excited for Riot to make an MMORPG

Crudesash here. A few questions if they are of relevance: Was there any thought to scale back or simplify systems to focus more on gameplay and less on gear management? Loot is so abundant, does anyone else think less loot would be better, tying into the previous question? Can glyph XP be earned somewhere else besides NM dungeons? Thanks and great show as always!

It really is a great time to be a Diablo fan, especially after so many years of feeling like it was Blizzard's red-headed stepchild. So happy with season 4 and what's coming soon
The picture to me says that there is martial arts in this character just by the pose which would say to me that the thematic may be more assassin/monk combination since blizzard likes mash ups in this game (rogue) That aside… the amount of paladin skins they would have sold could have been monumental

If you're going to run your mouth about barbarians, then you need a barbarian main on the podcast because none of you know what you're talking about. Nerf the barb aspects 🤦 we don't even use any of the Barb damage aspects except for the bug berserk ripping with grandfather because they are trash. The WW dust devils build is trash it's only good for speed clearing the gauntlet and trash mobs. All the Core Skills are trash Mages, necromancers have higher PIT clears than Barbarian, and they do that without the bolt elixir You get more damage out of your skill tree and Paragon board, then barbarians do to make up for the fact that we have 4 weapons. I'm so tired of people whose main other classes cry like a baby because we get 4 weapons Ps. The guy crying about pvp with a pve build 😂😂. Go play a real mage build because with 100k hp base barb, a mage can can brun through all that health less than a 2 secs while staying immune with a fire Shield.
Blizzard cinematics are always really impressive.

If the barbarian is so op, why is every other class beside Druid (which definitely needs some love) keeping within 10 levels of the pit as far as pushing?
Just to add to my point, sorry your build you made isn’t proving as strong as an optimal build from the most popular class played this season. I mean that’s gotta factor in at some point right?
Even though you never went head to head with D4 and didn't release you still came out on top by a country mile.

Scxanth i would like to suggest investing in a better mic than that which comes with the earpods. Doesnt have to be a top tier one, a 50 bucks one would already be a massive improvement over your current audibility. As it stands you can barely be heard sometimes and the sound is very flat. It sounds like you're speaking while your head is in a metal bucket.

Speaking as a barbarian player, the answer is somewhere in between the two extremes. On the one hand, barbarian has an unequaled advantage because of their extra weapon slots, and tempering has only made this disparity worse. Every class should have something on that level to make them feel powerful. On the other hand, no one needs to be doing billions or trillions of damage per second, regardless of class. That's an issue with the game overall. It doesn't matter whether it's one class/build that's trivializing endgame content, or many. It's still bad for the game and the players.
The biggest issues I see right now are 1) unique items are extremely devalued due to the tempering system, and builds that depend more on uniques, especially in the weapon slots, suffer because of it, and 2) tempering heavily favors certain skills and builds over others. Does your skill get multiplicative damage bonuses from tempering? Are your tempering recipes organized by build so whatever you roll could be useful? If so, great! If not, oh well. Maybe next season?
Agreed no easy answers here, i’d love to see numbers come down a bit as well. Lets see what next season brings!

GGG has been the best / most authentic game company over the past 12-13 years relative to their success. Not even close.
Adding diablo 4 to gamepass is probably the best thing that could have ever happened for POE2.

Jonathan POE 2 really need nice cutscenes, i know it is not your team strenght so consider paying another company to do it like blizzard does. I really love POE and i think that it deserve the appropriate showcase. Nice cutscenes do really help the immersion too, which is win win. That aspect is very lacking on POE's story line.
They know that the money is better spent paying artists to make more monsters and bosses
Idunno, maybe I'm a picky cunt, but this game is fucking boring
RE: support gems and everyone picking the same ones. I often find that everyone uses the same supports for a certain skill mostly because someone does and most people dont even explore the other options. Something like inspiration support could be 2% less damage but it gives crit chance and huge reduced mana cost, so it could be a massive QOL that could remove pressure elsewhere in the build. But then you have to figure out how to implement all that. So the average (>90% of players) are going to just go with the way it was figured out by those few smart players who optimized it. It's a tough challenge to remove this from the game (maybe impossible) but you are rewarded for knowing the game well enough to work it out.
that is not a good example cause most builds that use inspiriation need inspiration only the poe ninja dps #1 sheet warriors builds unoptimally for the sake of being first
When it comes to skills converting 80% or less damage to Fire, it will have to be fixed with some notable nodes that cause more conversion or less conversion from a mastery or something.
As a player since beta, im 100% down with removing damage from skill gems. Not only would it bring down the damage ceiling, but it would help with balance, and also make skill gem choices more build defining vs what ever just give the most damage. I honestly think its not only the best choice, but a win for everyone.

I'm fine without the "screen clearing" aspect of POE1, but, I would like there to be cool skills, especially for Templar class since D4 was a massive disappointment with the omission of the Paladin class.
