    All you have to do is explain that all tools are timed off the main tool. Timed meaning coming from that tool. But great work as well.

    Thank you my good man. We touch tool #2 as is our master tool and the rest of the tools follow. We touch the other tools if we change the fixtures or different type of jobs. We touch, z face measure, -.0315, enter.

    Once you've successfully set up both tools and work off set. Loaded the program into the machine. Where do you go from there to start running? Go back to MEM mode, hit progam and cycle start?

    Where did you get the bright screen ? I have a OSP700M (CadetMate) and the screen is hard to read, especially if there's alot of lights around in the shop. Is it easy to swap and costly ? Best regards

    What if the part you are machining is bigger and you dont have big enough micrometer to measure diameter? Is there any other way to measure offsets on bigger parts? Thanks

  • @ronaldromero6772
    @ronaldromero67727 ай бұрын

    To set your offset on X axis you can use any diameter you want, just find something close to the mic you're using to measure.Once you've done you X you don't have to do it for every part your turning.

    i worked on this machine with live tooling for almost a year, it was a terrible experience - this whole "g-coding" in 21st century is obsolete, eligable just for large series where one person writes the code and another runs the machine, any small changes to complex contours or tool movements may take dozens of minutes, also you can't properly see what the machine is going to do, just hit the green button and pray everything's been written correctly :) work overtimes, do small changes to program "half an hour before the shift ends", forget to add "G0 G28 U0" before tool change and you end up with turret turning into your rotating workpiece - most of CNC crashes are caused by low experienced and inattentive staff fiddling with the code now i work with old mazak QTN with mazatrol system and that's completly different stuff - you just write operations what the machine will do and system generates G-codes for itself, also you can open "simulation" and see what exactly the tool is going to do - while G-coding takes hours, in mazatrol you can write whole program in few minutes and changes in the program takes dozens of seconds, it's really idiot-proof, eligable for few-piece production i often change work on my lathe 2-3 times per shift, two pieces of stainless flanges, then some aluminum wheels, i use different ID roughing tools, so I don't have to stop the program to change cutting conditions - i just press buttons to change spinle speed to 80%, feed to 110% and instantly save it in the program for the next part... and then change program for new revision of steel shafts where i change roughing contour within few seconds, delete whole finishing process, copy roughing process instead of finishing and delete roughing tool and add finishing tool for the proces - less than minute change, no fucking around with some stupid G-codes, I can view simulation of the program and machine is ready to run first part within few minutes - if i had to do it in this crappy fanuc system, only thing i'd be changing is my job

    So after the first tool has been touched off from the 123 block and part , do the rest of the tools needed also get touched off from the part? Or just the 123 block?

    Just a heads up I work on the same machine but when I bring the tool up to the stylus I get about 5mm away then put it in jog and press your axis direction. The turret will automatically stop moving when it makes contact.
