    Thank you for making this video. I learned more in your 11 minutes than in my 3 hour shop class . Actually 2.5 hours with breaks ! Also hard to learn with 6 guys and instructor crowded around machine. Only my 2nd class on the Doosan. I didn’t know about that eye sensor. We did touch off holding a scrap of paper between the workpiece and cutting tool. It’s hard to get the feel of the pressure to hold the paper with how close to set the tool . It will take experience. Already like .0006. off just with set up by feel would blow a job with tight tolerance . Nice to know those eyes are out there to take the guesswork out of the equation. Thanks again for making a video that is clear and you can actually see the control. You are very professional in your explanation and calm even presentation. Plus good example with proper ppe eye protection and work uniform.

    You are most welcome. My goal was to give a clear understanding on this machine setup. So many machines are different and having a video like this really helps. For more visits like this check out this page kzread.info/dron/awMg1dcdGS7K9aBIG2RGGw.html

    Thanks for this video bro. I learned a lot. I started in this trade in January and have been loving every minute of it and I’m running this same machine every day. I appreciate the teaching bro. I’ll be honest when you dropped the tool presetter then closed the door and then referenced the machine I tensed up a little lol 😂

    Definitely one of the most comprehensive and explanatory videos on YT👍. Thank you for sharing this👌💛! This has made me definitely closer from my #Haas'ish understanding to #Fanuc'ish mastery if I can say so.

    It's very easy for someone to understand what's happening during a setup, not everyone has this understanding especially if they are wanting to learn. So making videos like these really helps others and that why I make them. If you want to see more like this check out kzread.info/dron/awMg1dcdGS7K9aBIG2RGGw.html

    This machine is from 2004 and is still very much useful and week continue to be if it's taken care of. That's why I made the video to help others when setting it up. Also, yes there are many canned cycles that run on this machine. I have videos of them here kzread.info/dron/awMg1dcdGS7K9aBIG2RGGw.html

    So when you set up that part again, because you save the program after the setup in the usb, will the tool offsets and geometry all be the same when you load it back up ? As in you won't have to touch off any tools ?

    Well you can out put the offsets as well as the program to the USB. I've never had the opportunity to really use this feature, as once you pull a tool out of the turret, the tool length is not going to be exactly the same next time around. So loading the saved offsets is kinda useless.

    Good news if you just setup the jaws and don't remove the tools your in good shape. Also, even if you remove the tools but load them in the same position you could dial then back in as long as they are pushed back against the stop or all the way into the turret position. It's still recommended that you touch them off again. To see more tips and Setup videos check them out here kzread.info/dron/awMg1dcdGS7K9aBIG2RGGw.html

    Bro, is thier any option to check graph before run the job?

  • @aaronrunk4209

    @aaronrunk4209

    Жыл бұрын

    There is a way using a graph, but you will have to lock the machine's axis with I believe code M17 and then run your program in auto mode. The spindle will run, and the turret will index, but X and Z will not move. On the graph, you'll see feed and rapid lines. Once ready to run unlock your axis with M18

    HAAS is so much easier to upload and download a program from the USB, but I guess that's FANUC.

  • @max_eley

    @max_eley

    3 жыл бұрын

    Fanuc is a plugin and cycle start on the CF card, the reason fanuc uses a CF card is because it is more stable and faster, i have used both machines and the cf card method is superior, fanuc has not yet developed much into usb. and there is no need.

  • @RacerX-124

    Yeah that's the real issue with Fanuc. It isn't that they're "harder" to use, it's the lack of consistency. Going from a mid 90s Haas to a brand new one, it really isn't all that different.

    I have an older Daewoo Puma without the "tool eye". Setup is so much easier. I just have my T0101 always set to 3.000. Then I face the part and work shift my coordinates to get T101 position to 3.000. If my tools were already set up off of that face then I am done. If not I use a gauge block and input my Z offsets for each tool. Diameters I have to turn and measure. This just seems more complicated for some reason,
