I call the reach the "teach" because it's great for intro lessons. All you need to get started

100% Agree with Jake - also for years owned both. 9m2 Orbit and 9m2 Reach . Most days I go with Reach - also take 2-3 boards along with me. Foil, lightwind twintip and main twintip. So I simply switch boards depending on the wind, kite stays the same. When it is nuking I go with Orbit for loops and big-air. Reach is the kite you pick up 80%+ of the time for freeriding and and is far superior to Orbit if you plan on foiling. Reach is a bit faster than regular Orbit, but not so stable and consistent to climb above you when wind gets stronger and you go for loops. Reach has a bit better low-end also than Orbit, thus is why it might be better suited in larger sizes also (11-12). For big-air / loops - in strong winds - will always pick Orbit. As their marketing slogan said - predictable in the unpredictable. This is what counts when it is nuking 😀 Both are excellent kites, simply depends on what you want to do. As Jake said, if you can get both - get both 😀You won't be disappointed.

  • @tm6360

Orbit is focused on boosting and big/quick loops. Really stable in strong wind but as beginner you should prob not be out in strong winds :) Great second kite, but not the best first one :) Can only agree that Reach is indeed a great kite where you can learn and progress a lot (a bit like duotone EVO but cheaper and cooler IMO 😂)

Coran It is He who makes you go on land and sea, when you are in a boat. [These boats] carried them away, thanks to a good wind. They rejoiced until the moment when, assailed by a violent wind, assailed on all sides by the waves, judging themselves enveloped [by death], they prayed to Allah, devoting worship to Him [and saying]: "Surely, if You save us from this, we will be among the grateful!

great video. I am a beginner of kitesurfing. My trouble is to turn kite up to keep it at 45 degree angle after diving the kite first to waterstart. I pointed my board downwind, somehow the kite would not go up no mater how I turned it, it stayed at the edge of the wind window and then dropped into the water due to lack of wind power at the edge of the wind window. please advise.

NICEEE, i got you phrase "go further with less efford" thats kind of what i like, so kite is long term as you teach, but as almost newbee to the wind thing, the foot print wind learning must be very cool on the wing, so i will go for wing to learn the wind principal, after will see for sure kite, thx you very much,

I have been windsurfing for the past 35 years. I do have quite a few sails, masts and boards, so it's the most gear, but I can go out in shallow water with a fin, sail just about anywhere (no kite lines to deal with), and I just pop a foil on my windsurfer to have the most fun on the water.
