    模型で見る迷彩は効果のほどが疑問に感じるけど、映像を見る限りドイツ軍の迷彩は風土に馴染んだ優れた迷彩であることが分かるなあ。

    One of three mk IV tanks ever built, and the second largest tank to be produced. Magnificent beast.

    The Tiger 2 belongs to the Saumur tank museum, located in central France. One of the largest tank museum in the world. It's the only surviving German Tiger II tank still in full working order.

    The beautiful thing about these old olive drab and gray and brown and blue and chrome and grayish green hunks of steel and Iron and aluminum etc. is that they will be telling the stories of the men who operated them at crucial points in history long after those men are no longer able to tell those stories themselves. God bless those who take care of these old weapons of war and preserve them and their stories for posterity so that God forbid their stories will ever be forgotten.

    Nice display, but there were no Tiger tanks on Omaha Beach, there were retro-fitted French tanks, all the Tiger and Panther tanks were with the Panzer units fighting the Canadians and British around Caen.

    No Firefly's at Omaha, they were used by British and Canadians. 21st Panzer, equipped with French trophy armour, would be the first armour encountered in the Battle of Caen.

    These videos are always GREAT to see. Watching these vehicles still running is wonderful considering their age and history. HOWEVER, I find it disappointing we NEVER get to see any turret traversing. Just driving around and around. Do these turrets still rotate or not? Maybe show one tank taking aim at another, or just lining up on a simulated target. Seeing them drive around and around and around, when we know they did so much more...AT least show a turret move.

    It’s a good thing the Axis wasted so much time, effort, resources and lives on Wunderwaffe like the King Tiger. Otherwise they might’ve stood a chance to win if they focused on practicality and usability like they did with the Stug and Pzr IV instead of on power and intimidation.

  • @richardcheek2432
    @richardcheek243215 күн бұрын

    The Germans made the Stug III out of old PZK3 chassis. The Germans are too stingy to just dump them, so they made Stugs with them. They literally fell into making the tank killers to not waste material.

    I'd say that the more iconic is the Tiger I. The Tiger II is surely the most impressive, although together with the big qualities had really huge issues

  • @tetrahedron4752
    @tetrahedron475217 күн бұрын

    Tiger II is a definition of a failure and a great example of how shortsighted Germans were during WW2 This tank was plagued with issues, most of the 500 units they made were found abandoned on the side of the road. If it didn't break down or catch on fire it run out of fuel. If it miraculously managed to avoid doing any of that it got bombed, because Luftwaffe couldn't contest the air space, let alone gain aerial superiority or supremacy There's a reason they lost the war and there's a reason we don't have heavy tanks anymore I can't make you care, but I hope you realize its not a matter of opinion, it's a matter of denying that reality exists

    @@tetrahedron4752 All true, although the Panther was also plagued with issues too when it rolled out. When they were able to work the kinks out it was regarded as one of, if not best tanks in the war. Given more time, The Tiger 2 may have been in a similar status...thankfully not though.

    @@pyrowarhorse9738 The Tiger series was an impractical, over-engineered vanity project. They should have focused on the PZK V, their best tank, and a faster more maneuverable masterwork. Thank God Almighty they did not.
