    Remodeled the bathroom this past summer. Took the toilet out. Cleaned it from top to bottom and put it right back into service. Never happier. Just keep the low volume flush toilets cleaned out so all water flows as it should. And yes I bought a brush so no using my finger anymore. 😅

    @@chuckvaughn that's because people didn't need all the crap they "need" now. Back in the day there was like 4 circuits maybe. Now I go to houses with 3 subs or more

  • @Einzee
    @Einzee6 ай бұрын

    Hopefully you'll consider pulling in an extra circuit to feed new outlets. It looks like at least one of the existing outlets is above a countertop in a kitchen and that should be reserved for small appliances being used in the kitchen.

  • @chuckvaughn
    @chuckvaughn6 ай бұрын

    This circuit only feeds the counter top outlet and another in the kitchen on a wall that is hard to get to. This outlet only has a phone charger plugged in. So this one will not do much more but give a place to plug something in sitting on the window counter. Thanks

  • @chuckvaughn

    Always a critic. It's -12 and glad you can see how plugged up the coil is. It was served this fall about 3 months ago. We have had extra warm temps so not sure where the debris came from. Grass was still green a week ago. But no extra coil of lineset. I measured and got the correct length. As I say, always a critic. 3 years ago spent 2500 and did it myself instead of the 7500 that a pro wanted. I'm very happy with my diy. And yes funny how no one wants to say, good for you. Social media has made trolls out of all of us. Just trying to help others out here in case they can't afford the pros. Thanks for your comment...

    It's -12 here in Missouri January 14th 2024 and I wanted to give an update to the heat pump if you're watching this now and looking at the wiring I had added a heat strip and when I did I needed to disconnect l1 and l2 otherwise it blew breakers and did all sorts of stupid stuff and some people said melted things down but of course the instructions for the heat kit for some of us weren't as good as some of the other people that got instructions. Please wait for the update and check back on how we're doing

    Thanks for posting! I burned up my wires from the air handler to the heat kit by connecting this way. Would appreciate if they would have mentioned this in the heat kit instructions.

  • @chuckvaughn
    @chuckvaughn6 ай бұрын

    Someone said their instructions were clear. I'm not sure we all get the same instructions. I had an electrical license at one time so I have a clue. My instructions never said anything about disconnecting anything with a heat kit install. Just like the thermostat was to have the O/B switched for heat to cool. My thermostat had the heat pump running in cool mode and AC in the heat mode. I thought I really messed up until I called support about the bad thermostat and I was told their default is heat mode where 70% of heat pumps run with cool as the default mode.

  • @jarroddavis7041
    @jarroddavis70416 ай бұрын

    I also failed to remove power from the L1 and L2 on the air handler board when I installed the heat kit. When the outside unit went into defrost mode, the air handler fan would stop, causing a partially successful defrost cycle - another words not fully defrosting the coil as no air was flowing across the indoor coil The heat strips could be made to come on, but only when thermostat was switched to Emergency heat. I removed power from L1 and L2 from the board and the unit would not function when calling for heat, no air handler and no outside unit. Turns out the two wires from the load side of the heat strip breaker that went to the MOLEX connector were severed- broke in half right at the base of the internal connector inside the MOLEX. This was why no power was being fed to the board and thus nothing would operate as it was supposed to. I simply made an external splice outside the MOLEX (but inside the air handler) to complete the circuit. The system now works as designed - VERY important to follow directions!
