I wasn’t referring to that, he was well-known in Vancouver for having off-ice issues and never lived up to his potential. It seems like he hasn’t learned a thing and was kicked off a Swiss League team for an altercation with a teammate. In fact, the teammate that he fought on the bench gave the team an ultimatum, him or us. The entire squad took the teammates side, and Virtanen was released.

It's weird how Canucks are giving Woo so many chances and they let Aidan McDonough go after like 1 season wth Abbotsford.

Woo plays the premium position. McDonough didn't have the draft pedigree either as a 7th rounder. Also, the Canucks probably evaluated McDonough and saw more obstacles to the NHL compared to Woo.

THe best way of containing your opponent's forward's is to play in their end. Zadorov is one of the slower playing defensemen , yet he had one of the biggest impacts in the Canucks defence last season. Stats dont tell a story.

I just subscribed because I'm a lifelong Buffalo resident who is disgusted at the hockey HOF for this injustice. Not only is Alex deserving of induction, but also an apology. On a non hockey note, I met Alex once. I was a police officer in the early 90s. I pulled over a black speeding vet after midnight midnight. It was Alex. He spoke no English and was very nervous. I was star struck, didn't give him a ticket, but got his autograph. The nervousness he showed wasn't the normal kind. I imagine he was terrified, being from the USSR and used to that system. That shows the lengths and sacrifice he made to trailblaze the path for other Russian players.

i think, with two fresh years, podz doesn’t become a scorer, but comes into his own as a power forward going for hits and being more physical in our bottom six. after multiple coaching changes and an injury that left him convulsing in abbotsford last year, the new contract to me means mgmt wants to believe in him. maybe it’s coping, but i think he’s got a good shot this year if camp goes well

Demko is done: serious injuries to goalie-necessary parts of the body like groin and knees will make him tentative and cautious just enough to dull his edge. Hope I’m wrong but have seen the same types of injuries push top goalies out.
