I'm Nadja Shields and I have been into creating art all my life, but turned my passion into business when we moved from Eswatini to the UK in 2014. I LOVE teaching people which has led me to teach my art both, online and in physical workshops. KZread was the next logical step, so here I am :)
This channel is all about teaching wire weaving/wrapping for any skill level. Whether you're new to wire work or have been around the block a few times in this medium, I aim to have fun material and interesting things to learn for everyone.
I cover anything from simple weave patterns for beginners, to more complex wraps for those further along in their journey.
I like to explore all wire work styles and, in turn, like to teach them, meaning that on this channel, you will find a vast variety of styles and techniques like various stone settings, heady wraps, layered weave designs, soldering and metal work to name just a few.
Basically: Subscribe! you won't regret it 😊
Happy weaving!

Loved your method of teaching, especially the “s” pattern at first. You explained it as you demonstrated and that clicked with me. Beautiful cuff bracelet, I’ll make many variations of this. Thank you!
Thank you, your videos are very helpful and such gorgeous pieces...I am so excited to get started with wire jewelry making. I'm a newcomer to wire work and am grateful for the tutorials 😊
Wow. It's extraordinarily beautiful. I love the contrast in textures, from the different weaves and different gauges of wire. And all the curves and swirls - very feminine energy!
You are amazingly talented and inspirational. Thank you for this video.
Wow!!! Another amazing pendant!!! Such a beautiful piece ❤ This one reminds me of royalty! Those weaved folds lay gently around the shoulders giving an elegant layered touch ..I get a warm, enticing and still controlled feeling with this ..an Eleanor of Aquitaine vibe with this gorgeous piece- Very Regal ❤ Love It!!! One of the ladies on KZread, a teacher of wired jewelry to me said the quote that’s stitched on a pillow ,tiny little adjustments ❤ thank you again 🤩🎉🌹💋
Thank you ❤🤩🤟 yes Ma’am love your Artwork!
I just looked at your online shop. Your jewelry pieces are beautifully stunning!
Thank you so much!! 🥰
Hi Nadia, this is a duplicate of last weeks tutorial. Did you add something extra to this one?
Hi there, the other version has got some overlapping audio, so I had to upload a new version! Apologies for the confusion!
No problem, just thought I may have missed something, lol
@@user-qd1jz9xu3onot at all, I much appreciate you trying to help! ❤
Legend!
Beautiful. Thank you!
Good tutorial. Thank you. But I am not sure how we went from the stone sitting way on top of the bottom to sitting in deeply. I don't think the little bit of filing down the edges did that.
Yes, you would file the setting down in the corners, or taper the inner edges a little if the stone won't sit snug from the start. Hope this explains it :)
Wow! This is gorgeous! Golden information! 😘💞💝
Glad it was helpful!
Why do you use large guage wire for smaller designs? Can 1mm be used? Thanks for the info!
1 mm (18 ga) is just a bit too weak for my liking for anything larger than a 3-4 cm pendant. This is a medium/large sized pendant, and 1 mm (18 ga) wire would be too flimsy for the frame in my opinion, but that's just me,. You can absolutely use thinner gauges if you want.
This looks so meditative
I’ve just ordered your filigree stencils (Curves) and am excited for them to arrive in 2days! Would you mind telling me about your flux pen such as its name and where to buy it? Would a craft store be the best place? I’ll be buying one in the states; it seems the smartest way to not waste flux. I absolutely love your work and plan on learning more. Thank you very much!♥️
Absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!!
What gauge of wires are you using?
It's all supplied in the main tutorial. Just check the channel. The whole video, has all of the details.
I love this tutorial and I’ve watched more than a few times, I just what you did ! I will make this by Xmas 2024 I made this my goal ❤😊 thank you❤
I love the stone!!! Where is it from?
It's a mandala glass crystal. I sell them in my shop :)

Thank you so much!
Thank you
You're welcome
How much is it?
Thanks for your querie, but this pendant has sold.
Thanks for sharing, it's such a pleasure to learn from you. I would love to see a video of you fixing up the wire when it's not bent the way you intended, For an example when you first made the frame and the two ends going into the bail weren't symmetrical. Peace 🙃
That is a good point. I'll put that on my bucket list of tutorials to make. Thanks for your suggestion!
Love them! ❤👏👍
This is gorgeous! I just started wire wrapping recently and discovered you today. I'm loving this wonderful archive of tutorials you have!
Wow, this is just stunningly beautiful when it's finished. You are quite an artist with your designs. I wish my poor hands could keep up. Subscribed ✌️
