    They're tried to go after Trump since he got into politics. Deplatforming, going after his money, trying to put him in jail and so on. It hasn't worked, the logical next step for them to try and get rid of him with is to kill him. Obviously I don't know or anyone else knows, but I really don't think it's that absurd since it seems the "goal" was left open for the shooter. But it would be the reasonable and logical next step for the people who want him gone to try.

    You two are so polite about what you say, how you say it, and even how you interact with ezchother. I'm used to chaotic conversations where people are talking over eavhother...and not always rudely (like Whitney Cummings with Taryn Manning; they're both just excited to talk with eachother and to feel understood.) There were moments where you almost wanted to interject while the other spoke, but refrained. I didn't realize how rare this is both in podcasts and irl until listening to you two. It was a bit of an adjustment at first as there's a noticeable difference in conversational pacing when borh parties actually let the other speak. 😅 How sad is it that something so simple and thoughtful actually takes some adjusting to? Says a lot about our society as a whole, I guess. Just to be clear; I am not dunking on either style of conversation. As I said above; us interrupting or talking over eachother isn't always done out of rudeness

    The countdown was wild! We waited for the surprise and then the surprise was that we now had to pay to see them again. Their excuse was also stupid. They didn't want to grind to have big companies pay so they want the fans to fully fund it? They don't have money, so they added another thing to sustain? Because the website, Customer service, mad dash to add enough content to make it worth it, and constant marketing to keep subscriptions/get more is a huge undertaking. Netflix is struggling. Even their lowest tier has ads. Because it's not a sustainable model otherwise. Not to mention other problems that they are not aware of also coming with a service. Like password sharing, and people who sign up when a series is done, binge, then are gone. They want to do TV but TV is dying. They want to compete but their shows are nothing incredibly revolutionary or new. Most have been done. Their production IS nice but it is NOT competing with TV. It's nice... for youtube. It's also not even what their fans care about. They said times are hard but also mention the luxuries in their life, which are fine, fans want them to do well. However, you can't talk about luxuries and then ask us to pay when some of us are struggling to survive. Ryan and Sarah also made it sound like we just didn't understand. " we explained it wrong" no, Ryan. We're mad because we DID understand and it's not adding up. No one stopped to read their fans or ask why even larger creators aren't doing something like this. Gee, wonder why Mr. Beast has multimillion dollar companies pay for his videos but gives away the content?

    I think there needs to be better research in your videos and a couple thoughts: 1. Marques' last name is pronounced "Brown-lee" and not "Brown". 2. Fisker is a startup, sure, but the company was tanking because of its own incompetence. Not because of what MKBHD said--the most obvious evidence being that this is actually the second time Henrik Fisker (the CEO) tried starting the car brand of Fisker and failed. Fisker was a company in the 2010s, and this was supposed to be their revival. Henrik isn't some young aspirational entrepreneur; he's a multimillionaire former car designer who's done terribly at being a CEO and named the company after himself. So framing Fisker as some budding young, promising company that was stifled by a big KZreadr is insincere. 3. Celebrities should be mindful of not exaggerating anything, sure, but the only thing Marques really exaggerated was the title of the videos. When it comes to the actual reviews, he literally just descrives exactly what each product does, and very honestly gives his opinions on who should buy it. If you watch both videos entirely I would be very confused if anyone thinks Marques should soften his reviews. Think about it on the other hand: Isn't it worse if he doesn't show that a $700 pin does everything your phone already does but worse? Isn't it worse if he doesn't tell people who are going to put $50,000 on a new car, that the car's keys don't even work most of the time? I'm serious, I encourage you to watch his two videos and list anything in the videos that is "too harsh" or "exaggerated" that isn't just an honest observation of how bad the products are. 4. Once you watch the videos, and if you agree that the videos are honest, then the only issue with the videos are that the title is clickbait. But then, even that isn't really an issue when you think about it, because if you make a decision on whether you buy a car or a pin based on a clickbait title alone...that's completely the fault of that buyer for not doing research, because who decides on a car off of one youtube title?

    Humane raised $241 million$. But yes, lets cry for them for trying to sell grabage for $700+ $24 monthly subscription and shame honest reviewers. Reviewers have a duty of care to their subscribers NOT corporations. Their audience are their customers not companies. Btw, if you have an amazing product, not even Barack Obama could tank it. As the kids say, step your cookies up Humane.

    Siding with and protecting the feelings of a company worth almost 850 mil is...a choice? If they’ve got the money and they're asking for 700 dollars plus 24.99 from cosumers, they better be on their p's and q's. Why are they owed "niceness"? The product needs to work. It really seems like, from your video, you didn't even watch his review. The product was bad. It didn't work or do even half the things it was supposed to do. But instead, you're accusing him of having an "ego" and being irresponsible and unkind? Why is Humane AI (a million dollar corp) owed niceness and constructive criticism but a influencer you obviously don't respect isn't? Especially because, had you watched his video, you would've seen Marques WAS constructive. Also a review isn't defamation???? Like, categorically??? Wow.

    @@Chang_Media So how come there is no corresponding discussion on when a review pushes up sales for a product and whether that is right or not. There should be no personal view in product reviews. It should be just factual but plenty of reviewers always talk about whether they would use the product or not instead of leaving it up to the viewers. The product is bad and those women saying it was his ego have missed the responsibility of a reviewer like MKBHD. Make a good product full stop.

    When a ship in sinking do you thank the person who told you or complain that they are the reason the ship sank? Also, if MKBHD told me a product was good and I bought it and it turned out to not be good, I would never listen to him again. He HAS his followers because he is reliable.

    Appreciate your comment mate and the sentiment makes total sense. Counterpoint --> If you are a new company thats made a mediocre product should you not have an opportunity to go through the process of failing and iterating your product without the lens and scrutiny of a massive audience

  • @ivanthelessterrible
    @ivanthelessterrible3 ай бұрын

    @@Chang_Media thats why a company should sell a vision of what the end goal is and not let it be decided by one "mediocre" product. a company should have more money run way than that. also the consumer has no role in helping a company iterate through products. that is what a study group and or internal dog fooding group is supposed to do.

I don't trust her at all, even though she's changed her tune. Our 2nd Amendment is probably THE MOST important right we have. The democrats are constantly trying to disarm us and if that ever happens, it's over. So IMO, anyone that wants to ban guns is a dangerous politician.

    Honestly, NRL doesn't care about viewership in the American market. They care about gambling dollars. USA gambling regulation is mostly by state. Nevada is really relaxed. Also Australia has been regulating gambling more, as in the US gambling is starting to deregulate especially when coming to gambling on sports. Hence in the past five years every American has been swamped with adds for gambling apps for sports betting. Anyway just found your channel, def going to sub!

    Thanks for the great discussion, love it. I'm as old as your folks, Asian-Aussie, life long media junkie. Grew up on SBS when it started broadcasting, (Annette Shun Wah, George Donikan, Lee Lin Chin etc were about the only non Anglos on TV). I live overseas now and wonder if the White Australia policy has been re-introduced? Because if one looks at Aussie mainstream media you'd be hard pressed to find any Asian faces present, my go to Aussie news is the smh website and it's choco block full of white faces, or 2nd rate Brits/Merikans, do we really need another Brit royalty story? The only time I see Asians on Aussie commercial TV is when a granny gets caught smuggling duck eggs through customs on Border Force. The Aussie mainstream media is competes with NKorea in terms of real diverse opinions and ideas. I really don't have much sympathy at all for the 2 horse race Aussie mainstream media which is importing hate and intolerance from overseas, aside from the ABC and SBS. Peace!
