Man i would love to get my hands on the stems to do a remaster. The low end is extremely flat. Kick has barely any punch. The mids are cluttered. The vocals tiny to bit present in he mix.

It's their band, but honestly I think it would be fair for the fans to give an official announcement that they are going to change the musical style so drastically and they are not going to go back, not to keep us waiting for nothing. this way without any announcement it feels like a slap in the face once a year album after album, waiting for symphonic industrial metal with 2 vocalists and 3 voices, just to learn it release by release that it's still completely different band under the same old name.

I wouldn't say it's too dissimilar to earlier material I reckon it's just not what you were expecting or hoping for, especially after BUTFWBWF which was definitely an indication that the old style isn't done away with.

Really hope the use of AI images for artwork is not gonna be the new normal. Granted, I think it's fair for video visual filler, but you'd think actual song cover artwork deserves better.

@@rivalplanetcreature1559 Eh, again, for the video filler, I don't care too much, as much as I have a kind of visceral disdain for generative technology involved in art in general, it's at least understandable. This is music, it's not a visual medium, so it's not gonna get effort on visuals for the most part, so it's not hard to understand how someone would justify it, "well, it's going on youtube, but we're not making a music video, so it's either display static cover art through the whole song, or get the bot to generate some crap". Where I think it's less excusable is as a part of the actual cover art. We've managed to make cover art for our music up until this point, so I don't really buy that you've got some great reason to get more lazy about it now that you can.

Nothing in this world can compare to that feeling you get during 0:13-0:14, which is common across many Mechina songs. It's that moment of intense anticipation between when the synth has fully faded in and the instant that wall of djent hits you like a truck.
